Industrial Engineer - process engineer

Position Summary: The Industrial Engineer – process engineering is part of the European Planning & Engineering team and will lead European Customs Clearance related projects in a Safe environment focused on new software development / implementations using process mapping i.e BMP flows and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to executives and stakeholders. The responsibilities of the Industrial Engineer: Recommend, lead and execute business analysis plans for new and existing projects Produce complex business process model flows (BPM flows) and develop SOP’s/ job aids Recognize and recommend opportunities for innovations, automations, and increased productivity Take ownership of initiatives and work independently to successful conclusion Evaluate business requests and needs against the strategy Lead any European project from start to finish (business case development, project plan, execution, implementation, hyper care support Maintain close partnerships with collaborating departments e.g. IT, Operations, Finance and Regulatory. Engage with all levels of business stakeholders to identify business needs The ideal Industrial Engineer has very strong analytical (numeric & strategic) and process thinking capabilities and has the following profile: Experience as a Industrial Engineer in an International Business environment. Preferably: Business school/University level education, in business-administration (MBA), business-engineering, master’s in Engineering, information technology or business analytics, or similar Preferably: PMP certificate, or willing to study to obtain this Good written and verbal communication skills Good planning, organizing and problem solving skills Very good analytical skills. Understand user needs and translate them into business requirements / flows Experience in designing and documenting business/system process flows Affinity with systems, technology and project management Innovative mindset Excellent interpersonal & negotiation skills with the ability to interact effectively throughout various functional groups and hierarchical levels Willingness to travel frequently (30% or more) to various FedEx locations in Europe Ability to lead internal cross-functional teams to fast-cycle strategic developments Previous exposure to Customs Clearance is an advantage Affinity with the Express Transportation industry Diversity & Inclusion is more than the workplace.
