Venturi, LLC, a Chenega company, has an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer who will play an important role in supporting our Navy customer on the Conventional Prompt Strike program. This individual develops diverse products, performs engineering design evaluations, recommends alterations to the design or development to improve quality of the products or systems, and knows a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. The Senior Systems Engineer will work with a team of technical professionals focused on ensuring mission success for the Navy, protecting national security, and keeping our warfighters safe. Responsibilities Work you’ll do As a Senior Systems Engineer within our Navy customer's Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) team, you will: Coordinate activities and information flow between Navy Conventional Prompt Strike HQ leadership and the prime contractor’s technical and management leadership Participate in prime contractor hosted technical and programmatic meetings Perform engineering and technical investigations to assess modification of existing and/or developing missile support equipment Develop various engineering technical documentation Manage overall objective of contract requirements and meet required deadlines Provide system safety engineering support Provide test and evaluation support Provide system engineering support for various flight and ground tests Develop presentations and information papers, research, analyze, and compile data into information, decisional, and instructional briefings, and develop metrics to track level of effort and progress in preparation for senior level reviews and updates Other duties as assigned Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree in STEM field with 10+ years of experience Experience must include: Technical and programmatic management of missile weapon system development, testing, and fielding Aerospace manufacturing and production background Familiar with Risk Board process, application to technical issues, and mitigation step analysis Knowledgeable in the acceptance test process and qualification test process at both the component and the system level Failure review board and root cause/corrective action experience Understanding of system engineering requirements definition and verification process Weapon system acquisition experience with planning, scope writing, deliverable definition, and evaluation of RFPs Must possess and maintain, at a minimum, Secret Clearance The position requires a COVID vaccination or an approved accommodation/exemption for a disability/medical condition or religious belief.
