<div class="mds-edited-text mds-font-body-copy-bulk"><p>SEMH Teacher Chigwell</p><p>Are you a qualified teacher looking for a new role in SEN?</p><p>Can you provide the passion to best support disengaged learners fall in love with school again?</p><p>Do you want to work for a school with high-quality professional development at the heart of the school?</p><p> </p><p>This fantastic LA funded residential primary school which caters for pupils between 5 and 11 years old, who have an educational statement for social, emotional and mental health difficulties, are looking for a passionate Teacher to join their team.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Desirable</strong></p><ul><li>Knowledge of the statutory requirements of equal opportunities, discrimination, health and safety, SEN &amp; safeguarding of children.</li><li>High expectations of students' behaviour and clear strategies for working with challenging students.</li><li>Ability to motivate and encourage children appropriately.</li><li>Ability to work independently, supported by the teacher, with groups of or individual students.</li><li>Ability to work with challenging students, understand their needs and demonstrate effective behaviour management strategies as and when required.</li><li>Ability to work at an advanced level with the teacher in planning and delivery of teaching activities (including those defined in Individual Education Plans).</li><li>Experience of working with children with EAL, SEN, speech and languages difficulties or other complex needs.</li><li>Ability to establish and maintain good relationships and rapport with internal colleagues and external contacts (e.g. parents, education psychologists)</li><li>TeamTeach/Restraint trained</li></ul><p> </p><p>The education team at this School strive to help children who have disengaged from school and learning, to develop strategies to manage their behaviour in a classroom.
