Job Description Job Description App Dev & Support Engineer I Job Details Posting Job Title Systems Support Engineer Job Purpose The Systems Support Engineer will provide analysis and resolution of batch job failures in UAT and production environments Responsibilities Responsibility 1 Working with both internal and external users to understand their requirements and translate them using a combination of SQL and PL/SQL. Responsibility 2 Analyzing and decomposing user requirement and developing them into reports with minimal defects. Responsibility 3 Performing development DBA duties and providing ad-hoc reports upon request. Responsibility 4 Scheduling Move IT tasks which establish the secured communication channel between external vendors and MMIS application. Responsibility 5 Analyzing and resolving all the failures related to Control-M/IWA scheduler. Effectively work on integration and set up of IBM workload automation (IWA) tool. Responsibility 6 Investigating/resolving any database-related issues and providing production support in resolving the tickets with 24/7 support. Responsibility 7 Monitoring night batch and report to Client any open defects for job failures via Rational Clear Quest. Monitoring inbound files from vendors/outbound files to vendors. Responsibility 8 Providing on-call coverage, with ability to multi-Task, and present excellent communication turnover between shifts. Responsibility 9 Organizing, processing, tracking and facilitating daily Technical Change Request meetings with Client board members. Responsibility 10 Processing Master Visio Flow charts for all the Control M/IWA jobs Requirements (Skill/Experience) Requirement 1 Able to assist with internal and external compliance reviews Requirement 2 Able to adapt to tight timelines and changing priorities Requirement 3 Able to balance multiple projects running simultaneously and dependently prioritize.
