Summary The Computer Operator is critical to the success of daily operations at a RAPIDS Issuing Facility. The Computer Operator will manage and maintain the DMDC Security Online database for the Navy Personnel Support Detachment in Japan. Responsibilities Work you’ll do As a Computer Operator within our PSD team, you will: The Computer Operator is critical to the success of daily operations at a RAPIDS Issuing Facility. The Computer Operator will manage and maintain the DMDC Security Online database for the Navy Personnel Support Detachment in Japan. Verify the identity of CAC recipients and add, update, retrieve, display, transmit and store data on DoD-sponsored individuals in the database after verifying the official documentation. Provide after-hours support to accommodate surges in CAC issuance requests. Qualifications High school diploma/GED required. Experience in Human Resource (HR) background in any of the following disciplines: Military Pay, Military Personnel, Travel Claims, or Navy Transportation. Substitutions for HR background can be from similar experience gained in any of the private sector or other Federal agencies. Minimum of three (3) months of relevant work experience in a PSD office required. Experience as a Verifying Official, or issuance of Common Access Cards preferred. Ability to obtain an Interim Secret prior to the start date. The position requires a COVID vaccination or an approved accommodation/exemption for a disability/medical condition or religious belief. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance for the lifecycle of the project. Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
