About the team Global Procurement (GP) provides procurement services to both KPMG International (KPMGI) and to member firms in situations where goods and/or services are being procured for multiple member firms. Global Procurement focuses on driving a competitive commercial edge in contractual arrangements with KPMG’s suppliers while simultaneously managing reputational, commercial and contractual risk including: Leading the KPMG Procurement Leadership Forum, consisting of the US, UK, Germany, Netherlands, Australia, Italy, Spain, France, India, Canada, Brazil and KPMG International, in collectively defining and deploying best practices in procurement policies, processes, frameworks and toolkits. Aggregating the demand of planned purchases of goods and services across the network (KPMGI and member firms) and leveraging this scale to negotiate competitive contracts with third parties. Providing strategic sourcing services to key functional groups in KPMGI (e.g., Global IT Services, Global L&D, Global Collaboration & Knowledge, Global PPC, Global Marketing & Communications), in partnership with the International Office of the General Counsel (IOGC), Information Protection Group, Independence, Information Security & Risk, to enter into contractual relationships with third parties. The Opportunity The Senior Manager, Supplier Risk Management leads the strategy and implementation aimed at maturing of our supplier risk management function. This is a relatively new area in Global Procurement, providing an exciting opportunity to define and implement strategies to enhance our risk management function to identify and address risks in the supply chain effectively. The incumbent must be a role model for Global Procurement by maintaining deep technical knowledge, demonstrating leadership, driving innovation, championing change, building trusted and lasting relationships with KPMGI key stakeholders, KPMGI functional groups, member firms and supplier and promoting/modelling the KPMG values. Key Activities will include: Lead the implementation of supplier risk integrity screening, establish the relevant operational processes and governance structure, drive effective education, communication and change management. Lead development of a Third Party Risk Management framework together with KPMGI functional groups such as legal and risk. Operationalize TPRM framework for supplier risk, including establishing the relevant tools, processes & procedures, lead internal GP and stakeholder engagement and change management. Lead the GP supplier risk review & assessment process, engage with stakeholders to facilitate risk approvals Lead new initiatives/projects, recommend proposed tools, technologies and approach. Set out relevant guidance, processes & procedures. Acts as a key liaison with global stakeholder groups such as legal and risk. Work with the Director, ESG & Risk, to establish appropriate resources for the team, sets out guidance and ways of working for the team, provides direction and is responsible for successful operations delivery. Propose efficiencies and process and technology enhancements for current and new supplier risk assessment initiatives, such as supplier surveys. Analyze best practices and leverage resources within the KPMG network to help define and establish appropriate supplier risk management. Facilitate contract compliance and reduce KPMGI financial risks by establishing appropriate service acknowledgement & compliance governance process for global agreements funded by KPMG member firms. Manage governance process to promote member firm contract compliance through effective communication Manage any tasks and items which come up and are assigned from time to time related to procurement risk management and contract compliance. What you will do Supplier integrity risk • Lead supplier integrity initiatives, operational processes, governance and engagement & change management. • Lead risk approval process in collaboration with global stakeholders. • Establish efficient operations for supplier risk outreach initiatives such as surveys. • Lead new initiatives to enhance, refine, improve and expand risk screening as relevant. TPRM (Third Party Risk Management) framework • Lead development of global TPRM framework. • Operationalize TPRM framework for supplier risk management in GP. Manage the GP risk team • Establish appropriate resources and structure for the team, provide guidance and direction to ensure successful operations delivery Manage compliance and financial risk related to member firms • Functional ownership of recharge tool (Commit) • Governance process and execution to ensure member firm acknowledgement of compliance and funding. • Governance process around member firm information on key global agreements (deal memo). What you bring to the role Experience & knowledge 8 years of relevant experience, preferably working with or within an international team. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience Preferred candidate has experience working with or within a global procurement team and has a sound understanding of procurement processes and principles. Has a strong understanding of risks associated with procurement and working with third party suppliers.
