Come be part of something special - start your journey today!<br><br><b>Description : </b><br><br>The Logistics Specialist, Import / Export will be responsible for daily activities to support U.S. import / export shipments to global customers for Veolia Water Technologies Solutions (WTS) business. <br><br>In this role you will communicate directly with customers for PO processing, order status, and shipment documentation. You will liaise between WTS production facilities and third-party suppliers with freight forwarders, carriers, and brokers to meet on-time delivery, cost goals,and compliance requirements. <br><br>You will be responsible for defined work or projects with moderate complexity. In this role, you will follow an individual work plan, meet day-to-day short-term objectives, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning. <br><br><b>In addition, you will</b>:<br><br>Execute fulfilment of US import / export shipments for chemicals and equipment demand for global WTS sites and external customers <br><br>Coordinate international logistics arrangements via ocean and/or air, liaising with freight forwarders, in-land / drayage carriers, and brokers to meet requested delivery dates,while optimising freight costs<br><br>Oversee US import operations, including preparation of documentation for return goods, troubleshooting of customs clearance issues, and arrangement of in-land deliveries for US in-bound shipments<br><br>Ensure compliance and segregation rules are followed for dangerous goods, enabling the proper booking and transport of materials<br><br>Prepare and facilitate collection of all required documentation for shipments, including the timely submission of customs documents to facilitate fast, accurate deliveries<br><br>Facilitate with International Trade Control (ITC) and Global Growth Organization (GGO)teams for classification of products (ECCN / HTS / Schedule B), ADD / CV reviews,NAFTA / FTA documents, and country of origin (COO) verification<br><br>Process quotations with internal and external suppliers upon request<br><br>Facilitate other customer requests related to orders, billings, purchasing and documentation<br><br>Pursue logistics functional excellence in all areas<br><br>Lead VCP Logistics cost saving and process improvement projects<br><br><b>Desired Qualifications:</b><br><br>Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain / Logistics from an accredited college or university<br><br>Prior experience in import / export compliance, third party logistics, customer service, and operations<br><br>Dangerous goods transportation experience, including current certification to handle DG shipments for IMDG, DOT / 49 CFR, and IATA<br><br>Knowledge of US and EU export regulations, foreign customs requirements, letters of credit, trade finance programs, free trade agreements and international logistics and shipping requirements <br><br>Ability to adapt to / drive change across a global team in a dynamic business<br><br>Ability to work rotating shifts Monday - Fridays, 8:00-4:30, 8:30-5:00, 9:30-6:00 <br><br>We offer competitive compensation and benefits working in a dynamic environment with challenging projects and training provided to ensure your success.<br><br>We realize diverse teams make smarter decisions, deliver better results, and build stronger communities.
