CONTEXT: </p>
<p>
Participating effectively in the Subsurface Asset team and enhancing their contribution to Company's upstream core asset areas, including near-field exploration, to deliver maximum value in terms of production, investment, reserves performance and growth. Develop and implement subsurface strategies to deliver maximum life-of-asset value from the assets.</p>

MAIN ACTIVITIES:</p>
<p>
Independently perform accurate petrophysical analysis of Exploration, Appraisal and Development wells under the guidance of the Senior and Lead Petrophysicist. </p>
<p>
In conjunction with Operations Geologists and Asset teams, contribute to the design of well data acquisition programmes and/or contribute to the design core and fluid analysis programmes for Exploration, Appraisal and Development wells.</p>
<p>
Provide petrophysical support when requested for the design and preparation of well intervention data acquisition scopes. </p>
<p>
Contribute to the upkeep and organisation of the subsidiary's log and petrophysical database. </p>
<p>
Produce quick-look and advanced log-analysis of wells drilled by the subsidiary as operator or partner.</p>
<p>
Contribute to projects/teams/task force (e.g. new acreage review/reserves/opportunities/field development plan) with respect to petrophysical issues, with the aim of achieving project or technical deadlines within budgetary constraints. </p>
<p>
Work with contractors, when required, to ensure that company best practices are followed and a technically sound product is delivered. </p>
<p>
Effectively justify technical analysis and recommendations and present these to line management, project team or Team/Project leaders. </p>
<p>
Represent company, when required, at subsurface committees and workgroups, presenting technical interpretations and recommendations.</p>

<p>
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:</p>
<p>
This post requires a minimum of BSc Hons (MSc Preferred) in earth or physical sciences with minimum 6 years relevant work experience in Petrophysics and Formation Evaluation techniques. </p>
<p>
Experience of Petrophysical evaluation work in the oil industry.</p>
<p>
Knowledge of Petrophysical software is required, preferably Geology</p>
<p>
Knowledge of alternative software e.g. Techlog, Interactive Petrophysics advantageous. </p>
<p>
Experience of working within a multi-disciplined environment with exposure to subsurface Oil and Gas operations. </p>
<p>
Working knowledge of core evaluation techniques.</p>
<p>
Excellent communication and organisational skills.</p>
<p>
Ability to work within tight time constraints while still delivering high quality technical interpretations.</p>
