Job Overview Role: Consultant Location: Mumbai General Mills is seeking a Supply Chain Systems Consultant to join our Digital Core Solutions Development Logistics and Customer Operations team providing new capabilities and systems support to General Mills Supply Chain business partners. Team members provide important leadership in connecting supply chain processes (Plan, Source, Make, Deliver) across IT and business teams to ensure end to end processes align with business strategy and deliver against business objectives. This role will support the North American Transportation Operations systems and processes. We are looking for talented individuals with expertise in logistics processes, SAP-ERP, SAP-TM and integrations. Role Responsibilities • Understand existing processes and systems identifying recurring themes and delivering ideas that eliminate waste, improve and streamline processes, and reduce time spent on support. • Diagnose problems and restore service promptly by engaging with system users, other members of the IS Department, software vendors, and service providers. • Carry out assigned activities during system releases, system upgrades and the application of SAP Hot Packs and system fixes. • Support business needs, define user requirements, and provide solution ideas leveraging an agile mindset to deliver value. • Implement new applications or system functionality in support of GMI’s future logistics and transportation strategy. • Develop close partnership with business users to truly understand needs, connect with other team members to facilitate technical conversations to ensure end to end solution optimization. • Use a broad range of continuous improvement tools to provide insights, drive out waste, and improve system performance. Must - have technical skills and experience • 5+ years techno-functional experience of SAP Transportation (TM). • SAP TM Analyst and/or ABAP experience • Industry-relevant business process experience in transportation management area. • TM Upgrade experience • Desire to understand of the integration points with other modules and appreciation of overall SAP software architecture. • Proven track record of developing business partnerships and Support technical solutions in a dynamic and iterative environment. • Superior interpersonal and communication skills with technical and business partners, adjusting communication to fit the audience. • Tenacity to overcome challenges, seeking and providing advice and input to achieve desired results. • Employs an analytical, methodical, logical approach to problem solving, and innovative approaches to business and technical challenges. • Displays a structured and self-disciplined approach to working - able to work on own initiative. • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, with the ability to prioritize conflicting activities, raising roadblocks early. • Exhibits sound business judgment and sees developing strong business and technical relationships as a key to success. • Time management skills Good to have skills • Success working in an agile team • Experience in other technologies such as Track and Trace, Yard Management, Freight management • Data flow expertise • Experience working in or with virtual teams • Configuration experience in multiple modules (OTC, MM, WM). • Deep understanding of overall SAP software architecture and integration.
