YOU As a passionate, customer facing, hands-on Engineer you will help enable the development and promotion VMware’s entire portfolio of products through Cloud Service and Infrastructure Automation. You have the desire to build, run and maintain a orchestration operations platform for the benefit of the enterprise, while maintaining a close relationship with Field and Product. Process skills An ability to research problems and break them into deliverable parts An appetite to work in a large-scale Lean XP environment Ability to work in a pair programming environment Working knowledge of Agile, Lean and XP methodologies Technology skills A background in software engineering; or a degree in Computer Science or other related field Ability to dive into a large polyglot codebase and contribute as you learn in languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript and Ansible Interest in exploring new programming paradigms, languages, and patterns Operations or Systems Administration experience, particularly on Linux A desire to automate all the things!! Experience with; or willingness to learn vSphere, AWS, GCP and Azure Test/Behavior Driven Development (TDD/BDD) Open source experience Experience operating the software that you write: You built it, you ran it!
