OSI Optoelectronics is seeking a Materials Expeditor to join their team. This individual will be responsible for setting and changing production schedules which maximize output of shipping revenue while maintaining on time delivery. Responsibilities Responsible for moving material to and from the production floor in line with production planners expectations and production line requirements. Acts as liaison between production floor and operations. Maintains production status of scheduled assemblies. Reviews material constraints with production planning and purchasing. Facilitates and expedites the flow of materials to and from various departments. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Works under general supervision. Ability to read and understand specification documents. Uphold the company’s core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork. Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct. Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. 1+ years of experience in an Expeditor or similar role required. Knowledge of automated scheduling programs. Experience working with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and Outlook) and report writing. Good written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to calculate simple Math (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division). Ability to count large and small components accurately. Ability to use Electronic scale for weight counting, Reel counter, Personal computer, Hand truck, Material carts, Pallet Jack. Must be able to read, write, and verbally communicate in the business language (English). Non telecommuting position; must have a physical presence in the production area on a daily and ongoing basis.
