Senior Process Engineer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is recruiting for a <b>Senior Process Engineer</b> to join our team in Perth, Western Australia. This is an initial long term opportunity to support the Asset Support Business. <br><br>Wood delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation and technical services to the mining and chemicals sector and enjoys long-term partnerships with some of the region's most prominent producers, actively supporting operations in Western Australia and across the world. <br><br>You will be reporting directly to the Project Engineering Manager, as part of an EPCM team delivering a technically challenging brownfields Chemicals project for Wood's Asset Support Engineering group. <br><br>Your scope and responsibilities will be: <br><br><ul><li> Process engineering services for studies, detailed design, as built and close-out activities for timely delivery of project deliverables according to approved schedules </li><li> Completing a variety of complex process engineering computations, HYSYS simulation (steady & dynamic) modelling </li><li> Preparing P&ID's, PFD's, heat and material balances, instruments and equipment data sheets, utilities and chemical summaries </li><li> Hands-on approach to engineering problem solving and commissioning experience will be an advantage </li><li> Lead a small team of process engineers </li></ul><br><br>Join us in the heart of Perth's CBD at Dexus Place - 240 St Georges Terrace, free 24/7 access to an exclusive onsite gym, superb end of trip facilities, coffee machines serving on demand and plenty of spaces to get creative. Similar experience in brownfields oil & gas engineering would also be considered. Knowledge of the NaCN production is highly desirable. <br><br>In addition, you will have: <br><ul><li> An ability to apply the relevant theories, codes and standards appropriate to process discipline </li><li> Ability to manage risk during the design process consistent with technical and commercial requirements </li><li> Excellent analytical, numerical and communication skills (both written and verbal) </li><li> Be prepared to undertake site visits (site location is approximately 50 km of Perth CBD) </li><li> Well-developed computer skills and knowledge of databases, spreadsheets and engineering programs </li><li> A
