Vice President, Quality

Provide leadership and direction across the Vehicle Group and eMobility across all areas of Quality - Design (Product), Manufacturing & Suppliers including Quality Management Systems. A global champion who drives the overall culture of quality and embeds this into everything we do across our operations and functions. Implement a total quality system through the deployment and sustainment of the Eaton Quality System. Leverage the EQS and Eaton Business System (EBS) to drive improvements to attain world class metrics for Vehicle Group. Drive continuous improvement in the quality systems. Enhance the zero defect quality culture within the Vehicle Group/eMobility. Have direct ownership of global SDE team to identify, qualify, and manage a highly capable supply base and drive the utilization of preventive / corrective improvement projects using quality systems, tools and processes to achieve performance goals of VG. Ensure that Vehicle/eMobility locations (offices and operations) comply with applicable Eaton, customer and industry-specific Quality requirements by establishing and effective internal audit and assessment process to validate system effectiveness Provide quality support indirectly to suppliers, customers and other functional departments of the organization with a strong focus on achieving customer satisfaction. Get directly involved as necessary (e.g. upon escalation of critical quality issues). Champion the Product Quality and functional excellence strategies and deployment of standard processes that align with the Vehicle Group/eMobility regional and business needs, while leveraging the corporate/sector/regional strategic plans and driving facilities towards world class metrics by aligning proper resources and leveraging best practices and lessons learned to drive read-across actions at similar facilities. Ensures that lessons learned are incorporated into new launches to help drive flawless launch. Establish effective measurement and monitoring systems to achieve improvement in key metrics of the balanced scorecard and Eaton Quality System. Utilize the Quality function to provide oversight and enhancements to the ProLaunch process to verify appropriate processes and procedures are being followed to ensure Customer performance requirements are met and that there is zero- defect transition into manufacturing. Achieve leading customer performance ratings through the implementation of the EBS and Eaton Quality System, driving improvement in key customer metrics. Drive and deploy Manufacturing Launch Readiness across all new launches and transfers across x-functional teams Qualifications Basic Qualifications Bachelors Required, Masters Preferred from an accredited institution Minimum of 10 years in progressive Quality Leadership roles in Manufacturing. Experience in automotive preferred. Strong analytical skill, problem solving tools/methods (Six Sigma, 8D, Blackbelt) Ability to teach and coach effectively, drive for results, plan, organize and motivate others. Strong Communication skills and comfort with facilitating teams/groups and working with all levels of the organization.
