<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for a Materials Co-ordinator with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry. <br><br><b> Job Objective </b> : <br><br>To undertake and supervise/manage the effective receipt, storage, movement and control of all materials to <br> support the business. <br> To liaise with Supply Chain, user groups, third parties, client and Supply Base & Marine contractors to <br> ensure that all materials and equipment are received, marshalled and shipped in accordance with company <br> procedures and internal controls. <br> Supervision of stores personnel in their day to day duties <br><br><b> Key Accountabilities: </b><br><br>Accountable for the successful delivery of all materials and logistics activities that they are <br> responsible for, including but not limited to: <br><br>Establish, manage and maintain the warehousing/materials control operation at the designated <br> warehouse/work site/client facility. <br><br>Coordinate the efficient operation of and continuously monitor the efficiency and performance of <br> the warehouse operations, including the utilisation of labour. <br><br>Coach and monitor staff in operating processes/procedures and safe working practices including <br> but not limited to new staff inductions and daily toolbox talks. <br><br>Management of the allocation, control, issue and marshalling of materials between different work <br> locations and supplier and the coordination of carriers in accordance with project requirements and <br> schedule/vessel sailings. <br><br>Production of shipping documents for all materials movements. <br><br>Timely updating of procurement system with goods receipts / manifests / shipping documentation. <br><br>Warehouse materials handling e.g. OS&D checks, bagging and tagging, preparation for shipping <br> and marshalling/loading of shipments. <br><br>Management of Freight Forwarding and Import / Export and Customs control activities. <br><br>Identification and management of materials shortages and surplus. <br><br>Control of Inventory in accordance with required inventory regime e.g. FIFO/Kanban and ensuring <br> accuracy thereof by monitoring of warehouse activity, cycle counts and stock checks. <br><br>Requisitioning and control of small plant and equipment/tooling/consumables. <br><br>Production of Materials Status reporting to project and client. <br><br>Coordinating material supply to and performance/delivery of fabrication items. <br><br>Ensuring maintenance and preservation of materials is undertaken for stored equipment. <br><br>Attending Project Progress Meetings / Purchase Order Pre-Production Meetings. <br><br>Liaison with all Project personnel, client representatives, and suppliers where appropriate to resolve <br> materials supply issues. <br><br>Ensures all Supply Chain activities are carried out in accordance with the project execution <br> plan/schedule and/or contracting strategy, within approved budgets and in line with project <br> processes and procedures. <br><br>Update the project / procurement status report (PSR) in line with project / client required on site <br> dates and current / estimate lead and delivery times, notifying any delays to supply chain <br> management. <br><br>Carry out all activity in accordance with the Wood Supply Chain Code of Conduct, ensure that all <br> statutory and legal requirements and applicable processes and procedures are complied with and <br> all documents are filed accurately and fully auditable. <br><br>Promote safe working practices and demonstrate safety commitment. <br><br>Understands and lives Woods vision, values and behaviours. <br><br>Understands and works to the Wood Financial Management Framework. <br><br>All other tasks as reasonably requested by line management. <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br>Qualifications: <br> &bull; Qualified to ISCED Level 4/5 (Post-Secondary non-tertiary/Short-Cycle tertiary) <br> &bull; Dangerous goods by sea and air (not essential, role specific) <br> &bull; Manual handling / Forklift Licence / experience <br><br> &bull; Varied and detailed work experience in the industry which would allow understanding of and <br> exposure to key Inventory, material control and logistics concepts and principles. <br> &bull; Previous use of ERPs such as Maximo, Oracle, SAP. <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
