Find out more: Annual Report 2021 Medical Advisor Vaccines 50% field based In this role you will… Be the internal and external scientific expert for Vaccines therapy area- by maintaining a detailed understanding of the therapy area and a deep appreciation of the science and evidence for GSK vaccines and other non-GSK treatment options in the therapy area Develop and maintain strategic partnerships and scientific engagements with external experts and healthcare professionals by acting as the interface between the professional healthcare community and the internal GSK medical team and its affiliates providing value-added insights and feedback from the community designed to improve medical, commercial and drug development planning and service provision Hold accountability for the identification of external experts within the therapy area and geography Hold accountability for the planning and execution of the strategic and operational medical parts of the cross-functional vaccine brand plans; identify scientific gaps and organize medical activities/projects to meet these gaps Fully understand and comply with local codes of practice, guidelines, and laws to ensure the strictest requirements are met particularly with respect to delivery of promotional versus non-promotional information. Supervise the medical, ethical, and legislative accuracy of GSK promotional activities to ensure their medical, ethical, and legal correctness. Reply to customers' medical inquiries regarding GSK products Gather external clinical insight and enabling this insight to be incorporated into GSK’s work Responding to specific, unsolicited information requests and communicating important safety related information Why you? Qualifications & Skills: University degree in human medicine (MD), pharmacy (MSc), veterinary medicine (MSc), biosciences (MSc) or similar Solid grounding in clinical, medical and pharmaceutical science with the ability to rapidly assimilate specific and detailed knowledge in these areas Experience evaluating and effectively communicating evidence-based medicine 2+ years’ experience in similar position Ability to be 50% field based visiting external experts and healthcare professionals Preferred: Experience within vaccines or immunology therapy area Understanding of the Swiss healthcare system and immunisation programs Experience in new indication launches Communication and presentation skills: Displays the ability to transfer scientific knowledge by demonstrating highly effective oral communication/presentation skills in ways that are useful to individuals and groups, internally and externally. Relationship building: Must have the ability to develop and build relationship with EEs and other customers.
