<b>Responsibilities </b><br />
<br />
<b>Role Summary/Purpose :</b><br />

Supervision of production planning and scheduling operations.</p>

<ul>
<li>Plan and prepare schedules used to layout and manage production projects, job priority identification, practical utilization of production space, material availability, work in process status, production flow, staffing needs, total man hours and the staff responsible for planning functions. Position also is responsible for assisting with the departmental planning and scheduling workload.</li>
<li>Focused on managing schedules and coordinates the efficient scheduling of component parts and machine maintenance to satisfy customer demand.</li>

<b>Essential Responsibilities :</b></p>

<li>Defines and maintains the production plan for all assigned products and parts, based on requirements (as identified in MRP), history, and inventory positions using the MPS/MRP system.</li>
<li>Establish key performance indicators of forecast accuracy. Ensure the interaction of department managers, and track and maintain the forecast through timely and accurate feedback.</li>
<li>Assemble master schedule reporting regarding performance to the business plan, the shipment plan, the inventory plan, and the production plan.</li>
<li>Translate projected forecasts, incoming volume, and work scopes into a production plan with a time-phased build schedule.</li>
<li>Work with customer base to determine weekly inbound forecast and develop consumption models to improve accuracy.</li>
<li>Conducts assessments of MRP system output based on customer demand and production planning, to identify required actions.</li>
<li>Prepares production reports for management and analyzes metrics to improve operations.</li>
<li>Works with Plant Management to develop improved planning procedures.</li>
<li>Participates in continuous improvements plans, supply chain and purchasing operations</li>
<li>Monitors raw material to ensure full production support without disruption.</li>
<li>Expediting operations that delay schedules and altering schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.</li>
<li>Provide input to finance on operating plans for the sales and operations planning (S&amp;OP) process, concerning incoming volume and capacity</li>
<li>Identify current planned level of demand and create tactical production plans to meet the identified customer demand. Calculate production lead times.</li>
<li>Manage load leveling and bottleneck scheduling and utilize theory of constraints (TOC) for more accurate scheduling.</li>
<li>Analyze production floor status through input/output control reporting.</li>
<li>Coordinate information with other functional staff, including customer service, engineering, accounting, and human resources.</li>
<li>Understand capacity management relationship to MRP specifically JDE. Work with work center input and output loading.</li>
<li>Engage in capacity management during sales and operations planning, master scheduling, materials requirements planning, and production activity control.</li>

<li>5-10 years&
39; experience in production and inventory control planning and scheduling with extensive demonstrated success of implementing &amp; operationalizing master schedules.</li>
<li>3-5 years&
39; experience in a supervisory capacity</li>
<li>Extensive experience with MRP systems, capacity planning, production planning and manufacturing processes</li>
<li>Proven organizational, project management and leadership skills</li>
<li>Ability to enable change as a strong influencer particularly with client groups and front-line teams.</li>
<li>Exceptional interpersonal/written communication skills; can effectively interact with all levels of management</li>
<li>Good oral and written communication skills and a customer service orientation required</li>
<li>Strong PC skills (Excel, PP, Word, Access) JDE, Showcase a plus</li>
<li>Strategic thinker, strong analytical skills, able to synthesize considerable and complex data.</li>
<li>Team player able to work well across business operations and develop strong business teams.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to influence teams and programs regarding quality, productivity and/or customer service.</li>
