The Software Engineer provides the Cloud Services division with analysis, design, development, testing and support of all software products overseen by the Cloud Services Area. Compliance with all company policies, procedures and guidelines is essential at all times. Responsibilities Design and develop robust software applications/automation/test tools, with only moderate supervision. Consistently demonstrate good documentation discipline and meet medical device QMS and regulatory requirements. Create software for testing and product release. Participate in and/or on-occasion lead software design efforts and design reviews. Complete unit test and debug all production software. Complete assigned tasks on-time and in accordance with the appropriate processes, including all QMS and regulatory requirements. Effectively estimate time and effort on projects and tasks. Demonstrate ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks. Find creative solutions to moderately defined problems or directives Ability wot work within Agile/SCRUM, continuous integration, and/or continuous delivery software development methodologies. Build software applications that are deployed in a cloud-based, virtual environment. Ensure all software designed and implemented is also automated (unit/integration testing). Good written and verbal communication skills, client relation skills, and ability to work effectively as a contributor in a technical team environment. Qualifications Participates in all stages of the product development process, including analysis, designing, building, and testing. Assists in supporting customers with production issues. Responds timely and effectively to all system alerts and outages. Enforces compliance requirements in all in-scope environments. Continuously improve processes based on experiences, audits, feedback, and evaluations. Initiate the appropriate corrective action. Develop technical skills through internal training, on-the-job training, and external training where appropriate. Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware, or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance. Advise company about or perform maintenance of software system. Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system. Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements, or resolve customer problems. Identifies and implements infrastructure changes to improve performance. Researches and resolves cases in the production support queue. Assists in researching and troubleshooting of production issues. Assists in planning and execution of strategic architecture changes. Completes documentation of systems, processes, and schedules within in-scope environments. Assists in identification of system improvements to reduce support case volume. Stays current on and evaluates the potential use of new technologies in production. Assists in definition of processes and standards related to production functions.
