Program Manager - Enterprise Business Strategy - Opportunity for Working Remotely

The Strategy, Planning, and Operations (SPO) team is looking for more innovators to drive operational excellence, re-engineer processes, and steer cross-functional teams building outstanding products. Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing? You are a self-starter and excellent teammate with experience in a high achievement-oriented environment. Strong analytical skills and data driven decision making with the ability to make decisions in the face of uncertainty or imperfect data (leveraging various tools such as power point, excel, tableau, think cell, etc.) In your first 30 days, you will familiarize yourself with our product portfolio, cross functional stakeholders, and begin to strategize operational efficiencies. By day 90, you will have an active role in driving initiatives, working across organizations, and structuring innovative approaches to workflow processes. After 180 days, you will be driving towards key outcomes from the initiatives that you support, and on a trajectory to be a trusted and sought-after resource. The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis? Drive process improvements across CIBG to drive agility and optimize spend. Partner closely with the senior leadership team and key functional stakeholders (Marketing, Sales, CSX, Finance, HR, etc.) to achieve strategic and tactical alignment across programs and advance key cross-functional initiatives. Drive key elements of organization-level business cadence, including Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), annual investment planning, quarterly budget and headcount planning, and OKR reporting. Manage communications (e.g., executive updates, project reviews, etc.) to inform key stakeholder groups, facilitate decision making, and ensure strategic alignment. Inform better decision-making in CIBG with data-driven insights, tools and processes. What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like? You’ll be joining SPO’s Business Operations group and partnering closely with CIBG’s business and technical leaders across the organization. This team reports into the VP, Strategy, Planning and Operations and we oversee all things strategic at the Business Group level. Flexible: The location of this role is flexible within Costa Rica. Work could be done from our San Jose office some days during a week and other days from a non-VMware location.
