Site Name: USA - Pennsylvania - Upper Providence, GSK House, Poznan Posted Date: Dec 1 2022 As the Vice President, Cyber Defence for GSK, you will assess enterprise cyber security risks in line with internal policies and external best practices and apply world class operational solutions, services, and people to address these risks. You will be a key thought leader and provide your extensive security knowledge and experience as a member of the CISO Leadership Team. This role will have a significant level of interaction with the CISO and the Chief Digital and Technology Officer, as well as other senior tech and business leaders across the enterprise. You will be responsible for the direction, delivery, and ongoing operations of the Cyber Defense team. You will function not only as a technical security leader from a people, process and planning perspective but also be looked to as a key decision maker for security operations decisions and in defining, communicating, planning, and executing the cyber defense goals for the enterprise. You will lead a global team of multi-disciplined cyber professionals across but not limited to the spectrum of Cyber Intelligence, Digital Forensics, Incident Response (DFIR), the Insider Threat Program, Advanced Risk Management, Security Infrastructure, Penetration Testing, Vulnerability Management, Analytics and Reporting, and the Security Operations Centre. Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership, direction, and development of a large team of multi-disciplined security professionals, including Director and Sr Director level staff in a globally dispersed, virtual environment sustaining team energy, wellbeing, and resilience Lead the implementation of best-practice security procedures, standards, and guidelines Oversee and deliver multi-year priorities and articulation of related metrics Ensure and manage a robust security infrastructure environment and resilient operating model that can meet constantly changing threats and event types Oversee the execution of critical cyber end to end investigative processes, aligning to the broader Privacy, Legal, HR and Physical Security mandate including IR and the SOC Lead the Insider Threat and Security Posture programs and other operations related security programs Lead security incident response activities leveraging analytics, reporting and threat intelligence Provide counsel to the CISO and other senior stakeholders on emerging internal and external threats and propose required adjustments to our current security posture Basic Qualifications: Broad and deep cyber security and secure infrastructure technical knowledge 10+ years senior level Cyber Security management of large teams and operations functions Demonstrated expertise in cloud security best practices Experience in implementing and administration of end point security, security infrastructure including SIEM, EDR, CASB, logging, DLP, and vulnerability management Demonstrated ability to influence peers and senior leaders and to communicate complex problems and solutions to a global workforce and across functional boundaries including the CISO and CDTO Established strategic thought leadership in the external cyber ecosystem Demonstrated ability to work in a complex matrix working environment Proven performance in demanding operating environments BA/BS or related security experience Preferred Qualifications 5+ years pharmaceutical experience and knowledge of related regulatory environment controls Previous experience in interacting with corporate executive level stakeholders CISM, CISSP, CISA CPP Experience acting in the Deputy CISO capacity GSK is a global biopharma company with a special purpose – to unite science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease together – so we can positively impact the health of billions of people and deliver stronger, more sustainable shareholder returns – as an organisation where people can thrive.
