Network/Cloud Architect

Providing technical leadership and consulting across the organization, from strategic decision making down to the project planning level. Gaining organizational commitment for all high-level network infrastructure plans, and initiating and participating in projects to evaluate technologies and methods for implementing these plans. Participating in the operational support of network infrastructure as required within a team of Network Engineers. Uses expertise and experience in applying engineering and technical principles to the design and development of computer networks, cybersecurity infrastructure, telecommunications, information technology systems and tools, and database systems. Analyzes, installs, integrates, modifies, and supports all associated systems, networks, software, and databases. Plans and conducts projects after analysis of functional and operational requirements. Leads organizational teams that proactively identify and promote new capabilities within PNNL. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: BS/BA and 7+ years of relevant work experience -OR- MS/MA and 5+ years of relevant work experience -OR- PhD with 3+ year of relevant experience Preferred Qualifications: Cisco CCNP or equivalent Certification Experience with network architecture, design and administration using Cisco Nexus systems At least 6 years' experience in enterprise network design and implementation CCIE Certification. VXLAN overlay-network design and implementation Experience with network automation tools (i.e. Ansible, NetConf, REST, etc.) Experience managing and supporting F5 load balancers Experience managing and supporting Palo Alto Firewalls, DNS Management and Infoblox System management and support CWNP and/or CWNE Certifications CISSP Certification Experience building AWS and/or Azure software defined networks and designs. Exceptional communicator with both technical and nontechnical audiences. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams. Demonstrated ability to solve challenging technical problems with innovative solutions. A focus on customer satisfaction and high-quality service delivery.
