The Retail, Transportation and Services sector focuses on Business & IT engagements for Fortune-500 and Global-2000 clients around the world covering a diverse set of sub-verticals including Retail, Distribution Travel, Transportation, Hospitality and Services. Job Summary The role holder will drive, define & support consulting engagements and capabilities in the Retail, Transportation and Services sector in North America. The role holder will also enable the opening of new engagements, drive the adoption of differentiated solutions, and build the Industry Domain Consulting Practice. Responsibilities Core responsibilities will include: Consulting Strategy: Define a sound business growth strategy built on industry consulting and technology consulting (digital, analytics and engineering) strengths. Focus on growing Consulting to 20% of unit strength with higher billing rates and margins. Help in creating new business opportunities & new business wins (pipeline and order book) Business Growth: The role holder is expected to shape, lead & drive transformation engagements by working closely with CXOs and internal Wipro teams. The individual is also expected to lead consulting workshops to craft future state functional and solution roadmaps. Solutions: Identify and define differentiated services and solutions for various process areas within retail and transportation industry. Create and continuously refine cutting-edge retail solution showcases to be demonstrated across Wipro’s Technovation centers. Thought Leadership: Be Wipro’s voice and a recognized thought leader across industry forums, partner events and customer interlocks. Publish, speak and mentor on a range of forward-looking topics around various Retail, Distribution, and Transportation industry segments and functions. Partnerships: Nurture ecosystem partnerships in key focus areas based on product evaluation/due diligence with the objective of building knowledge and networks e.g. trade bodies, practitioner forums, industry networks etc. Explore & develop Wipro specific layer/extensions to the core partner offering. Branding: Create a strong Wipro market positioning - increase Wipro’s mindshare in the Retail ecosystem (product companies, analysts and influencers). Capabilities needed: Strategic thinking: Big picture orientation and conceiving effective strategies to drive growth Demand Shaping: Consultative influencing and proactive shaping of consulting opportunities Analytical thinking & problem-solving skills: Ability to comprehend complex scenarios, propose effective implementation plans & solutions in tackling challenges Leadership & Interpersonal skills: Ability to drive & lead the strategic execution, manage change, build relationships with clients, partners, motivate teams and achieve results Thought Leadership: Ability to engage with industry leaders & analysts, and formulate/publish POVs Personal Drive: Entrepreneurial drive with a can-do attitude and a strong desire to win Minimum 15 years of industry experience with the past 5 years being in a consulting leadership position Exposure to tier-1 products specifically for the Retail and Logistics industry Functional expertise in Retail (e-commerce, omnichannel, supply chain, store operations, merchandising, and planning), Logistics (3PL, Custom Brokerage, Courier, Express and Parcel), Distribution and Transportation processes Experience or strong exposure to software lifecycles including defining downstream from a consulting engagement Ownership in Solution incubation and IP-creation Experience in consultative selling and creating client business case for value-based pitches
