Pre-sales Solution Architect (High Tech) - Senior Professional

Responsible for high level design of the end-to-end solution template and functional architecture in alignment with SE Business requirements, Digital Guidelines and Industry Leading practices; drive solution standardization. Work closely with Sales team, Customers, Business and Digital stakeholders to fully understand the requirements, pain points and areas of improvements, and to enable effective and suitable technology solutions. Work closely with our customers through our Sales team, supporting and collaborating with Delivery teams, Technical Product Owners, System Architects and Marketing team to enable and drive definition of Solution / Product vision and roadmap Drive modelling and fit/gap analysis (Solution Confirmation) of the technology solutions to determine a need for customization and enhancements with offer owners Suggest alternative solutions / customizations to drive standardization where possible Assist with the identification of cross-functional and cross-team dependencies, input on and drive critical design decisions to closure and helps develop cohesive integrated solutions (e.g. TVDAs) Drive definition of Integrated E2E delivery and test scenarios working with other Solutions Architects and Systems Architects, Lead Engineers within delivery teams to ensure deliverable solutions and clarity of ownership Review and help address impediments and resolve/ capitalise risks Provide guidance and clarity to business on end-to-end solutions and components - minimise confusion, agree and prescribe deliverable, profitable, repeatable solutions and architectures wherever possible Interpret SE architectures for local requirements and feed back into business process (success, failure, lessons learned) We know skills and competencies show up in many different ways and can be based on your life experience. Requirements: Detailed technical understanding of Power Control, Monitoring and Management (Ideally across MV & LV Power systems) Solid years in industry - consulting, systems specification and or delivery experience Experience / Knowledge of the SE Digital platforms - Software and hardware (E.g. EPAS, EPO, PME, Citect, RTU, PLC) or similar (i.e. other manufacturers solutions) Experience architecting solutions and interfaces between disparate systems (E.g. SCADA- BMS) Experience and understanding of IEC 61850 standard Experience and understanding of IEC 62443 standard Commercially competent Problem solver Self-starter – able to work under own initiative within Business & Team goals Team player (across multiple teams) Understanding of Technology (Mobility and User Experience, Cloud and Virtualization, Data Management and Analytics) Experience of developing/supporting development of TVDA solutions as part of a wider team Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required (demonstrable experience will outweigh academic qualification) Skills: Excellent analytical and strong problem-solving skills, able to logically break down a problem into smaller manageable parts to solve Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Ability to interact with SME’s and other project team members in a project development setting Successful teamwork experience (collaborating on group/team projects) Shows dedication, discipline, commitment, grit Proven ability to transfer knowledge and stay aware of current trends and technical advancements in our discipline Ability to articulate, discuss and present different points of view on various technologies Time management skills are necessary; as well as the ability to be flexible and creative Ability to facilitate requirement gathering sessions with large/challenging audiences Excellent leadership and management skills.
