Product Development Lead

Job Specification – Product Development Lead Location: Hyderabad Team: Data Science and Modelling India The Role: S&P Global Commodity Insights is seeking for a strong Product Development Lead within our India Analytics team to work closely with our energy market data analysts, Data Scientists, IT teams and multiple stakeholders to understand requirements and to implement automated workflows ensuring delivery of products that meet customer needs and aligns with business strategy. In this role you will look to play a key role in understanding data and its processes and to assist the design, development, implementation of new technological advancements aligning with the Commodity Insights Tech strategy. The Impact: This role has a core impact to our data science and modelling team in adding value to our data through understanding requirements and implementing automated workflows. In this role you will gain a strong understanding of various commodities and combined energy Analytics businesses to design and assist implementation of advanced strategic solutions and migrate the legacy processes into new technologies that enable data governance, automation, data quality monitoring and maintenance. The Team / The Business: Reporting to Head of India Analytics and collaborate closely with wider data science and modelling group, content, IT teams and various stake holders. They work great at moving forward with the group’s mission and goals. A new member of this team will hit the ground running and collaborate with his/her team members immediately. What We’re Looking For: We are searching for a strong candidate who is highly motivated, process orientated, methodological thinker with a keen eye for detail, who has proven experience working and leading structured workflows leveraging Data science technical skills. This role would be ideal for someone proactive and eager to learn about various commodity markets, deal with large sets of data and be able to transform requirements to the Analytical needs of the organization leveraging advanced Data Science skills and capabilities. Responsibilities: Contribute to the strategic expansion and development opportunities of data science and modelling India team roadmap and execute them for delivery. Defining and executing on the roadmap from concept through launch with Agile way of working. Create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog according to business value. Owning small-mid size projects including project definition, gather and scope functional requirements into technical needs writing features and user stories. Working closely with cross functional business teams and stakeholders to define product requirements, prioritize delivery goals and ensure quality of delivery. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders Define success metrics, capture risks and dependencies and review with stakeholders regularly Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the Product organization and internal stakeholders within the S&P Global business in a highly matrixed environment Requirements: Experience with Agile or SAFe Agile development framework and processes Ability to clearly articulate and define product requirements and their business value to stakeholders and development teams Strong analytical skills and enthusiasm for digging into the details to define product use cases, capabilities, and impacts and coordinate delivery through Agile way of working Ability to juggle between multiple priorities Experience with the technical aspects of digital product delivery and ability to identify development dependencies, risks, and opportunities Enthusiastic team leader who can motivate, support and encourage team members University degree in Science, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics or equivalent Having at least 5 years of strong working experience in coordinating product development preferably in the energy and commodity markets Ability to create efficient technical solutions to complex problems.
