S&P Global Market Intelligence: Credit Risk and Solutions The Role: Quantitative Intern - London The Team: The Analytic team is part of the Risk & Credit Solutions business of S&P Global Market Intelligence. The Group develops quantitative models to assess credit risk of corporates, financial institutions, and SMEs. The Group also engages in research & development of novel risk management and forecasting solutions, including machine learning, ESG and climate change risk. Responsibilities: In this this role the applicant will primarily own or contribute to: Participating in research & development of novel analytical and risk capabilities. Performing in-depth data analysis and explore various analytical approaches to address current business challenges. Developing new analytical solutions by leveraging a combination of financial data, market data, and novel datasets. Involving in client-oriented and market outreach activities to communicate a value of existing and novel solutions. What We’re Looking For: Basic Qualifications • Pursuing Master’s or BSc degree in analytic discipline (quantitative finance, mathematics, physics, finance, computer science and engineering) completing no later than 2024 • Strong quantitative skills and in particular advanced statistics and/or econometrics • Experience with data analysis • Good knowledge of Python • Problem-solving, time-management, attention to detail • Intellectually curious, problem-solving attitude with attention to details • Able to learn quickly, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications • Knowledge of financial terms and risk management concept • Experience with machine learning models • Experience with model development • Knowledge of SQL • Verbal and written communication skills (presentational, active listening) • Ability to take initiative, be proactive, and self-manage time The Location: London, United Kingdom UK Eligibility To be eligible for our UK Summer Internship program you must have the right to work full-time now and in the future.
