We are looking for passionate engineers to join the Site Reliability Engineering team for vRNI Cloud. As the vRNI Cloud SRE you will provide service insight, response, and service management to maintain high service reliability with low touch through extensible services/platforms, standardized processes, data insights, and product input. Success in the Role: What are the performance goals over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing? Within your first 6 months You will contribute towards SRE & DevOps related automation efforts You will contribute towards incident response processes, and work towards improving stability of underlying software components using automation You will significantly contributing to 1 or more DevOps/SRE functions with the aim of becoming a subject matter expert. Example functions are CI, CD, Infra-as-code, Config Management, Security, Compliance, Incident response automation, etc. After 6 months+ You will be contributing to internally monitoring platform and tools to effectively automate SRE/DevOps workflows Working with the team, you will propose improvements in existing cloud and infrastructure operations including a SaaS delivery model high scale data analytics and processing platform You will embody an automation first mindset, and will be an influence across DevOps, SRE and engineering teams to achieve a 100% automation goal You will improve reliability and resiliency of AWS based services using DevOps/SRE best practices across the engineering organization You will help implement monitoring, logging and tracing functions across all DevOps/SRE services for a robust system where potential production incidents are identified and fixed before reaching production systems What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis? As a new member of the DevOps and SRE Team, you will: Write technical design documents and hold reviews Participate in all team scrum meetings and demos Help deploy code to production using Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) systems Deploy cloud infrastructure in an automated fashion and build CICD pipelines for the same Maintain existing CI/CD systems and pipelines Participate in on-call rotations, providing operational support to components owned by DevOps and SRE teams Communicate with internal consumers regarding the team’s software and gather requirements to facilitate adoption of your solutions What is the leadership like for this role?
