Chenega Technical Innovations, LLC, a, Chenega company, has a challenging career opportunity to modernize Geocentric Environment for Analysis and Reasoning (GEAR). GEAR is an existing DoD technology asset designed to support Geographic Information System (GIS)-enabled Multiple Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA). GEAR aggregates, organizes, analyzes, visualizes, and shares data from multifaceted sources within a common, collaborative geo-centric platform for the purposes of breaking complex decision problems into smaller more manageable decision models and sub-models for enriched analysis, investigation, and interrogation. The Software Developer II will support modernization of existing DoD technology asset by streamlining the asset analysis process and associated workflows. Responsibilities Work you’ll do As a Software Developer II within our GEARS team, you will: Reconfigure existing DoD technology assets to streamline the asset analysis workflow without compromising existing workflows associated with each technology asset. Develop solutions to complex problems in creative and effective ways by analyzing existing programs and new systems. Devises logic and coding for complex issues where analysis of situation or data require in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Lead modernization of existing DoD technology asset by streamlining the asset analysis process and associated workflows. Lead migration of technology asset into the Enterprise software suite within the Enterprise portal-based system and ensure interoperability across the DoD technology assets currently leveraged to address emerging DoD climate security mandates. Provide technical input on planning, project development, report writing, project management, and related communications activities. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: BS degree in related field Additional education, certification, training, or work experience can be substituted in lieu of degree 6+ years of related experience Secret clearance required The position requires a COVID vaccination or an approved accommodation/exemption for a disability/medical condition or religious belief Hands-on experience, and understanding of technologies, like NPM, AngularJS (or other MVC platform), jQuery, Bootstrap, SCSS, or HTML5 Experience with building APIs and services using REST, SOAP, etc. Experience with scripting languages like JavaScript, PowerShell, etc. Advanced skills in problem solving Good work ethic and active desire to learn Skillful time management and organizational skills to set and meet deadlines Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to work both independently and within a team Ability to work effectively in a team environment to encourage collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement Ability to meet minimum clearance requirements How you’ll grow At Chenega MIOS, our professional development plan focuses on helping our team members at every level of their career to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
