It's an opportunity to:</b><br><ul><li>Join the Potash Centre of Excellence - working with, learning from and becoming world-class experts!</li><li>Grow YOUR career with a team that truly cares about your personal development and advancement.</li><li>Enjoy Hybrid / Flexible working options</li><li>Work on challenging, innovative and sustainable solutions for potash, lithium, uranium and base metal projects</li><li>Collaborate with our national & global mining teams</li><li>Work on projects abroad - we offices are in 30 countries worldwide</li><li>Enjoy a competitive benefits package that includes: progressive matching RRSP's, medical, dental, parental leave, employee / family assistance / mental wellness programs, among many others)</li></ul><br><br><b>Key Responsibilities:</b><br><ul><li>Mechanical Engineering design related to mining and metal processing, specifically potash and uranium.</li><li>Prepare and review technical specifications, equipment lists, calculations, reports, design criteria, tender documentation, installation contract documents, and other documents.</li><li>Ensure documents are prepared as required by the project in accordance with the project, design criteria, statutory regulations, good-practice, and company procedural requirements.</li><li>Ensure that the designs produced support the method of construction and ease of plant maintenance and operations.</li><li>Ensure design engineering standards are maintained and adhered to on all projects.</li><li>Review and comment on design documents and drawings.</li><li>Review and approve vendor documentation for compliance with project specifications.</li><li>Liaise with site construction staff on technical queries on resolution of engineering design issues.</li><li>Allocate work and aid discipline engineers and designers on projects.</li><li>Input into progress reports, including listing achievements and highlighting issues as required.</li><li>Provide input into project proposals and estimates.</li><li>Work closely with other disciplines and Project Managers to ensure that the client's objectives are met in a timely manner and are cost effective.</li><li>Ensure compliance and take initiative for safety and environmental issues.</li></ul><br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li>Mechanical Engineering Undergraduate (BSc) or Graduate degree.</li><li>Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Canada with the ability to register in the province of Saskatchewan is required.</li><li>A minimum of 2 years focusing on mining projects.</li><li>Knowledge of mining projects, specifically potash and uranium, is considered an asset.</li><li>Knowledge of materials handling, mechanical package experience, and fabrication is considered an asset.</li><li>Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organizational skills.</li><li>Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required.</li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
