<b>Duties & Responsibilities </b><br />

<b>Purpose </b><br />
<br />
To carry out a range of NDT inspection techniques on components, pipework and structural assemblies etc, in order to establish acceptability to specification. Supervise team of NDT technicians, ensure Quality / HSE performance is achieved in line with company and procedural requirements.<br />
<br />
<b>Functions </b></p>
<ul>
<li>To provide support to the NDT Management Team/Operations Manager in providing an efficient service to clients</li>
<li>To supervise the day-to-day utilisation of NDT personnel as required</li>
<li>To ensure all operations are carried out in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner by qualified personnel in accordance with approved procedures</li>
<li>To ensure productivity of operations is always maintained</li>
<li>Carry out site visits to monitor technicians safe working practices</li>
<li>Carry out site audits where required</li>
<li>To deliver safety briefings prior to work being undertaken</li>
<li>Carry out toolbox talks as and when required and maintain attendance register accordingly</li>
<li>Ensure equipment is used correctly, safely and is in good condition</li>
<li>Visit workplace for radiography both on site and off site to carry out work assessments</li>
<li>Submit (where applicable) HSE or regulatory notifications for site radiography</li>
<li>Ensure client requirements are always met</li>
<li>Liaise with clients on any issues and advise on any suggestions for improvements where necessary</li>
<li>Notify appropriate personnel of any issues or concerns arising from inspection results</li>
<li>Liaise with Client, Plant Inspectors and Corrosion Engineers as necessary</li>
<li>Evaluate results of the test in accordance with applicable specification</li>
<li>Ensure that non-conformances are being recorded and reported to the operations manager</li>
<li>Produce a clear and concise report detailing the methods used in and results of the inspection</li>
<li>Carry out work in a timely and efficient manner to meet deadlines, changing priorities when the situation requires</li>
<li>Carry out work in accordance with Oceaneering Inspection operating procedures and statutory/client specifications and requirements.</li>
<li>Manage rota for Call Off Breakdown work effectively.</li>
<li>Ensure all timesheets are completed and signed off in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Ensure team timesheets are accurate.</li>
</ul>

<b>Safety </b></p>
<ul>
<li>Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment.</li>
<li>Ensure that the work area is safe to carry out radiography activities and that barriers are erected at the minimum safe distance, with no non classified workers within the patrolled barriers always.</li>
<li>Ensure all personnel within the team are wearing a relevant TLD within a holder, along with a lanyard around their neck to ensure it is visible.</li>
<li>Ensure the correct signage is placed around the barriers and are visible.</li>
<li>Ensure radiation assistants are patrolling barriers to prevent non-classified personnel do not enter.</li>
<li>Carry out risk assessments/Take II as required or client specific Job specific Risk Assessment.</li>
<li>Ensure function tests are performed according to the procedure on all radiography equipment and any faulty equipment is detailed back to the supervisor. For example (weekly container and wind-out checks.)</li>
<li>Ensure the daily movement records are updated each time the radioactive container is removed from the storage bunker.</li>
<li>Ensure inspection is carried out within the parameters of the applicable specification.</li>
<li>Pre/Post checklists must be performed for each shift detailing all the required information, and a detailed barrier plan along with readings must be supplied.</li>
<li>Evaluate results of the test in accordance with applicable specification.</li>
<li>Complete consignor certificate for any radioactive containers being returned to the office.</li>
<li>Prior to packing any returned equipment check labelling is accurate, container is locked, and all equipment has been verified.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.</li>
<li>Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.</li>
<li>Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.</li>
<li>Undertake any other duties of a reasonable nature as required by Management.</li>
