We also use applied technology expertise to serve the defense, entertainment, material handling, aerospace, science, and renewable energy industries. <br><br><b> Position Summary </b><br><br>Duties will be, but not limited to the following requirements, Rigging Activities, Tightening of flanges, valves, cable laying, cable tray instillation/removal, overboard marine work etc on offshore installations <br><br><b> Duties & Responsibilities </b><br><br>ESSENTIAL<ul> <li> Experience in the oil and gas/petrochemical industry in a similar or equivalent role. </li> <li> Good understanding and comfortable with the use of P&IDs. </li> <li> Performing Authority (Permit to Work system). </li> <li> Previous Isolating Authority experience. </li> <li> Has good problem solving skills, corrective action planning and follow-up. </li> <li> Ensure all work undertaken is safe, and in compliance and accordance with statutory Health and Safety procedures, maintenance manuals, specific work instructions, safe systems of work (Control of Work/Permit to Work) and all recommended safe working practices. </li> <li> Actively participate in thorough pre-job risk assessments for all non-routine activities and confirm that they are accurately reflected in the resultant Permit to Work. </li> <li> Actively participate in any pre-job site inspections/toolbox talks for maintenance activities. </li> <li> Participation in safety observations and carry out active monitoring audits, as required. </li> <li> Ensure all required personal protective equipment (PPE) is appropriately used. </li> <li> Ensure all personnel in proximity of works are fully aware of planned works, associated risks and control/mitigation measures in place. </li> <li> Ensure all accidents, incidents, near misses and non-conformances are fully reported. </li> <li> Under direction, undertake routine inspection, servicing and adjustment of equipment. </li> <li> Review maintenance work orders and ensure all requirements/preparations are fully undertaken before commencement of works. </li> <li> Communicate with operations personnel for start-up and shutdown of relevant equipment. </li> <li> Undertake planned and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment, ensuring any work carried out is in compliance with company procedures. </li> <li> Maintain safety critical equipment in accordance with regulations. </li> <li> Ensure equipment and systems are reinstated to required condition and performance. </li> <li> Report all work completed in CMMS. </li> </ul><br>NON-ESSENTIAL<ul> <li> The list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake tasks that may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post </li> <li> Assist with any other duties as and when required. </li> <li> Undertake specific projects as instructed by management. </li> </ul><br><b> Safety </b><br><br> Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable to ensure a safe working environment. <br><br> Actively participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks as required by company and client. <br><br> Ensure that all Safety procedures are always adhered to and that required documentation is kept updated. <br><br><b> Other </b> <br><br> Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems. <br><br> Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company. <br><br> Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment. <br><br> <b> Supervisory Responsibilities </b><ul> <li> This position has NO direct supervisory responsibilities. </li> </ul><br><b> Qualifications </b><br><br>To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each of the essential functions listed below satisfactorily. (E) </li> <li> High School Diploma or the equivalent, Minimum grade 12 certification (E) </li> <li> Minimum 5 years' experience in rigging inspection/repair valves /flanges in the Oil and Gas Industry. (E) </li> <li> Minimum 2 years' experience in rigging inspection/repair valves /flanges in the Oil and Gas Industry utilizing Rope Access. (E) </li> <li> Good communicator, accurately relates information, uses active listening to ensure own understanding and is comfortable with written, spoken or electronic media. (E) </li> <li> Familiar with QA/QC systems/procedures (P). </li> <li> Previous experience of coaching and mentoring. (P) </li> <li> Working knowledge of Microsoft office suits. (E) </li> <li> Gives and receives constructive feedback while coaching and mentoring activities. (E) </li> <li> Ensures that regular consistent communication takes place within the work group. (E) </li> <li> Ability to interpret isometric drawings (E) </li> </ul><br><b> Working Conditions </b> <br><br> This position is considered OFFSHORE which is characterized as follows:<ul> <li> Outdoors and indoors, day and night, as well as over/near water </li> <li> Requires working on or near moving equipment and vibrating equipment </li> <li> Frequently the humidity is above 90%, noise is over 85 decibels </li> <li> Potential exposure to open fire/flames/sparks. </li> <li> Constant exposure to airborne dust, fumes, and gases. </li> </ul> <ul> <li> Work surface is stable, height is elevated </li> </ul><br><b> Physical Activity/Requirements </b> <br><br> The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
