Instrumentation and Controls Function Lead Engineer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Massy Wood is currently recruiting for an Instrumentation and Controls Lead Engineer with extensive experience in the offshore O il and Gas industry. <br><br>Contributes to the delivery of Engineering excellence through: <br><ul><li> Managing and leading teams. </li><li> Actively participates in Competency and Training. </li><li> Providing discipline expertise to the business including Technical Authority responsibility where assigned. </li><li> Executing assigned scopes of work. </li><li> Proactive leadership of team. </li><li> Delivering against contract Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and business objectives. </li></ul><br> <b>People:</b> <br><ul><li> Provides coaching and mentoring for direct reports. </li><li> Manages succession planning for direct reports. </li><li> Actively supports recruitment, selection, transfers and promotion of resources to meet succession and business plans. </li><li> Support the development and retention of motivated and competent people. </li><li> Manages performance of direct reports. </li></ul><br> <b>Process Ownership:</b> <br><ul><li> Continuous promotion of and, adherence to the discipline specific procedures and providing feedback for continuous improvement. </li><li> Support the development and delivery of the technical safety standard expectations and technical assurance. </li><li> Monitor compliance with competence standards. </li><li> Participate in incident investigations as required. </li><li> Set performance expectations for direct reports. </li></ul><br> <b>Subject Matter Expertise:</b> <br><ul><li> Provide discipline support to the business. </li><li> Ensuring learning opportunities are captured and realised. </li><li> Knowledge of relevant regulatory framework and legislation. </li><li> Proficient in scope definition. </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> MSc, MEng or equivalent professional qualification or BSc, BEng or equivalent with extensive relevant experience. </li><li> Chartered Engineer or recognized equivalent </li><li> Typically a minimum of 12 years' minimum relevant experience. </li><li> Demonstrable balance of industrial and management experience at relevant level and position. </li><li> Intellectually capable, can substantiate the ability to apply theory in a practical context. </li><li> Capable use of discipline software and proactively encourage development. </li><li> Able to demonstrate team building skills and capable of influencing people at all levels of the organisation. </li><li> Enthusiastic, conscientious, and keen to learn. </li><li> Flexible with a can-do attitude. </li><li> Preference will be given to national citizens or permanent residents of Trinidad & Tobago. </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
