Control & Report Associate Manager, PGT Controls Automation

Overview Job Description: Facilitate the scoping, design and development of automated solutions for PepsiCo Global Template (PGT) controls. The individual will work with PGT deployment teams, IPEX Insights and Automation and Internal Control groups, 3rd party service provider to ensure cost- and labour- efficient automation solutions are delivered to support PGT controls design. The objective of the role is to optimize, automate and centralize automation efforts for control purposes in PGT environment. The role will also ensure adherence to high audit and IT standards for the developing solutions. The role is responsible to collaborate with PGT Project, IPEX and Business Process Owners across all value streams in scope in order to propose an optimal automation solution for a specific need, collect the requirements, support the design, and monitor the implementation of identified automation. In addition, this position will be responsible for developing some of the solutions where capacity allows. Role is expected to have deep understanding of PGT environment and be familiar with a variety of emerging technologies and automation tools to be able to advise on a better option and assess the final deliverable. The position requires effective working in partnership with all parties involved, good engagement and stakeholder management capability, strong functional knowledge and process optimization and engineering capability. Focus markets are PGT Wave 1 (UK & Ireland, Poland, Sector HQ, GBI Franchise, Nordics, and PepsiCo Lipton International (PLI), PBNA and FLNA deployments. Responsibilities Core Accountabilities: Support development and implementation of automation solutions for PGT control designs leveraging emerging technologies (i.e., process mining, data analytics, RPA, etc.) to optimize and simplify controls execution and testing: Become familiar with the existing solutions, create and maintain a catalogue of finalized items and submitted requests. Monitor the progress of solution implementations and support the developing teams where required. Become a liaison between the project team, a requestor and a developing team to ensure effective communication throughout the development process. Assist in resolution of different constrains (time, priorities, resources, etc.) occurring at the development stage Define ways of working with the internal and external partners and align them with the parties involved As per agreed timeline, proactively monitor the progress of development, defined set of acceptance criteria and communicate the status to internal customers. Identify /formalize compliance requirements for the automated solution (for example, completeness and accuracy principles, access restrictions, design documentation, IT controls) and ensure adherence to them from the developers’ side. Facilitate the ideation and development of new automated solutions for PGT controls Work with the stakeholders to define new automation targets. Advise on automation option (i.e., process mining, data analytics, RPA, PowerApps, etc.) and executor (3rd party vendor, PepsiCo internal expert teams, IPEX, etc.), depending on complexity, cost and development team’s availability. Assist in collecting the requirements and preparing the Work In-Take form for the developers Proactively collect internal customers’ feedback and course-correct strategy and/or platforms if required Drive future optimization and centralization of control automation activities under PepsiCo Global Template Create and maintain an ideation forum for control automation opportunities Educate business functional teams internal control teams, PGT deployment and sustain teams on existing solutions and automation technologies. Ensure the integrity and consistency of the developing solutions. Optimize the development efforts through involvement of internal resources and leveraging the existing tools. Other activities include: Support or attend risk assessments led by IPEX team and/or PGT project teams to stay up to date on processes and procedures, and their critical/key priority areas. Build and maintain a strong collaborative network of stakeholders under PGT environment, including (but not limited to) Control/Process Owners, Business SMEs/Super Users, PGT Project team members, Internal Controls teams and IT functional teams Stay informed of upcoming changes / transformation within the SAP / PGT business processes and proactively assess and drive monitoring strategy changes Support internal/external audits as per need Qualifications Required & Preferred Qualifications: Strong Controls background (preferably with SAP PIRT markets) (i.e., Audit, Internal Controls, Operational controls experience). Strong data analytics/process mining scoping skill, experience in solutions design hand-in-hand with Data Engineers (i.e., IPEX Insights and automation functional teams). Strong functional knowledge and capability to translate customer’s needs to actionable solution design. Ability to conduct rapid diagnostic and/or detailed due diligence to articulate opportunities, constrains, control issues, etc. Ability to structure and execute on initiatives by proposing work plans and models, collecting and synthesizing relevant data, developing final recommendations regarding the solution, and supporting in development roadmap creation. Good communication skills to coordinate the activities of different groups involved in development, ability to operate in non-structured environment. Manage deadlines / timeframes, proactively escalating issues as needed. Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated/self-starter with the ability to work independently. Flexibility in adjusting & reprioritizing to meet changing needs in a fast-paced environment. Self-starter mindset with the ability to “manage up” English language (read/write)
