It supports SLB through innovative engineering and quality-driven manufacturing, with portfolio emphasis on rotary steerable systems, Measurement While Drilling tools, Specialised Measurement tools and Rechargeable Batteries for Downhole use, and power source products.<br> <br> Over 300 employees work in SHTC's modern, fit-for-purpose building in scenic Gloucestershire. The facility was constructed to handle future demand for PowerDrive tools with an efficient workflow that ensures assembled tools are extensively and rigorously tested before delivery. On site, tools can be monitored using state of-the-art hardware and connectivity that link SHTC to all field locations.<br> <br> SHTC continues Research & Development investment for new technologies, extending operational limits so that clients can reach hotter, deeper reserves.<br><br><b> Job Summary: </b><br> <br> Will be working alongside Electrical team on a COSD, reliability or business continuity project.<br><br><b> Essential Responsibilities and Duties: </b><br> <br> Your responsibilities will include designing complex electrical/electronic devices/assemblies, conducting both lab and /or field tests, analyzing test results & preparing technical reports. You will interface with the technical staff from other disciplines and field personnel from domestic and overseas Operational organizations.<br><br><b> Competencies: </b><br> <br> Required skills:<br> - Positive attitude<br> - Willingness to learn<br> - Electrical/Electronic design and systems assembly/disassembly.<br> - Excellent at verbal and written communication (English)<br> - Skilled in teamwork, service oriented and quality minded.<br> <br> Exposure to any of the following would be a plus:<br> - Strong interests in Digital design, Microprocessors (both Microcontrollers and DSP's.), FPGA design, Signal processing, Analog design including amplifiers and filters, Power electronics, Motor control.<br> - Knowledge of Assembler, 'C', RTOS<br> - Troubleshooting and Failure Analysis aptitude.<br> - Schematic CAD and VHDL entry<br><br><b> Qualification: </b><br> <br> Studying towards a Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering or related field.<br><br>SLB is an equal employment opportunity employer.
