Architectural Designer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is seeking an <b>Intermediate Structural Designer </b>to join our team in the Calgary office. <br><br>Responsibilities: <br><br>&bull; Carry out assigned design work as part of a multi-discipline project team. <br> &bull; Provide discipline specific design and drafting services that meet the Project's, and applicable statutory and regulatory, requirements. <br> &bull; Produce 3D building models using Bentley ProStructures <br> &bull; Produce 2D building drawings and construction details for building envelope using AutoCad <br><br> &bull; Familiar with National and Provincial Building Code requirements. <br> &bull; Coordinate and work with project team members, including coordination with other discipline <br> &bull; Preparing material take-offs <br> &bull; Managing time and tasks within allotted schedule and budgets <br> &bull; Performing other discipline duties as requested by lead <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br>&bull; Diploma in Design and Drafting Technology <br><br> &bull; Excellent organizational, technical, writing, communication, and computer skills <br> &bull; Advanced knowledge and proven experience with modeling and drafting (ex Bentley Prostrutures, AVEVA E3D, Intergraph Smart 3Ds, AutoCad, Smart Sketch) <br> &bull; 5 to 10 years relevant experience in the Oil and Gas industry <br> &bull; Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks <br> &bull; Effective communication skills <br> &bull; Ability to work both independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment <br><br> &bull; Experience with Architectural Design Projects is an asset <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
