Wells (Completions) Engineer

<b>Our client, an oil and gas operator, requires a Wells (Completions) Engineer to join them on a long-term contract.</b><br> <br> <b>Job description:</b><br> The Wells (Completions) Engineer is responsible for the planning design work related to the planning<br> and operational delivery of wells on Rosebank.<br> The Engineer will be working in the Rosebank team with responsibility for planning completion activities.<br> The engineer is responsible for working interfaces towards other disciplines in the Rosebank Team;<br> SURF, FPSO Operations, Drilling and Subsurface.<br> The Engineer is responsible for developing and delivering completion products in accordance with<br> relevant strategies, plans, programs, time, cost and in compliance with applicable guidelines and work<br> processes.<br> The Engineer shall deliver simplification, standardisation and industrialization in context and according<br> to company strategies through proactive risk understanding and mitigation.<br> <br> <b>Roles and Responsibilities:</b><br> · Work in multidisciplinary teams to deliver well planning and execution activities.<br> · Deliver risk assessments in well planning and execution.<br> · Deliver engineering feasibility and improvement projects to ensure department objectives are<br> met.<br> · Prepare well concept selection reports.<br> · Compile well programmes.<br> · Engineering design using Landmark software suite.<br> · Develop and review of Well Barrier Schematics.<br> · Evaluate offset data and implement lessons learned.<br> · Evaluate and specify well equipment.<br> · Prepare time and cost estimates.<br> · Participate in subsurface meetings and discussions during well planning and execution.<br> · Deliver Well Permits and Notifications.<br> · Lead management of change.<br> · Develop and update well and completion drawings<br> · Perform detailed studies into new technologies, well design and optimisation projects.<br> · Plan performance improvement workshops.<br> · Prepare Detailed Operational Procedures for use at the rig site.<br> · Lead management of change, input to dispensations and communications with the relevant<br> authorities.<br> · Develop and update well and completion drawings with as run description of the well<br> equipment.<br> · Perform detailed studies into new technologies, well design and optimisation projects.<br> · Plan performance improvement workshops.<br> · Challenge the rest of the group to ensure that the work is done cost-effectively and that future<br> well operations can be run in a simple and cost-effective way.<br> · Delivery of results and engineering tasks through others within a well defined framework.<br> · Participation in operational duty support rota's if required.<br> · Identify opportunities to contribute to the commercial success of the project and are<br> responsible for identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness.<br> · Delivery of complex engineering projects with minimal support and guidance.<br> · Develop the competency of the team in own area(s) of expertise.<br> <br> <b>Qualifications</b><br> · Experience 5+ years of relevant industry experience, including experience with an Oil and Gas<br> Operator.<br> · Educated to degree level, professional experience can compensate for lack of formal<br> qualifications.<br> · Knowledge and experience with UK regulations and well integrity requirements.<br> · Solid knowledge in Wells (Completion) engineering.<br> · Solid operational Wells (Completion) engineering experience.<br> · Broad knowledge and experience of drilling engineering planning and operations is desirable.<br> · Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.<br> · Ability to work independently/unsupervised and in collaboration with others, as required to<br> achieve agreed objectives.<br> · Understanding of field development activities and QA/QC processes.<br> · Good English writing and oral skills.<br> <br> <b>Personal qualities</b><br> · Ability to live by
