Community Based Residential Behavioral Health Facility is seeking a cook to fill a full-time (32 hours/wk) position. Benchmark’s cook assists in production, quality control, serving of all meals and is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing dishes, equipment and all other areas in the kitchen. A minimum of one (1) year cooking experience in commercial or institutional food preparation preferred, but willing to train. Available to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and public holidays. Knowledge of ingredients, materials, methods and equipment used in preparation of food Food preparation and cooking, plating, presentation Kitchen maintenance and cleaning Knowledge of health, safety and sanitary requirements of Food Preparation Minimum physical requirements: be able to bend, lift, and carry 40 pounds, carry hot food pans at a minimum of 10 pounds per pan, stand for 2 or more hours consistently, be capable of reaching above shoulder height.
