Electrical Engineer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood Life Sciences Business is seeking Electrical Engineering services to support at a client pharmaceutical site based in Worthing, West Sussex. <br><br><b>Work scope:</b> <br><br>Equipment Removal <br><ul><li> Work on behalf of the client to facilitate equipment removal undertaken by a principal contractor<br> </li><li> Responsible for safe isolation, LOTO, dead-testing and physical electrical disconnection of equipment to be removed from site<br> </li><li> Work with client's electrical department to ensure electrical isolations/disconnections are performed and documented in line with clients' expectations<br> </li><li> Work side by side with the principal contractor to ensure electrically safe removal of equipment<br> </li><li> Ensure electrically live systems are maintained in good working order </li></ul><br> <br>Demolition Enabling <br><ul><li> Work with site electrical contractor to survey buildings/areas for full electrical/communication/fire safety system disconnection from the rest of site Systems include:<br> </li><li> 11kV, 3.3kV and LV systems<br> </li><li> PAVA, Fire Alarm, Lighting<br> </li><li> Responsible for defining electrical scope to enable the demolition of redundant buildings </li><li> Scoping of and Execution of small projects to reroute critical electrical/communication services to enable demolition activities to take place<br> </li></ul><br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><b>Essential:</b> <br><ul><li> Recognized indentured apprenticeship / formal recognized qualification in an appropriate engineering discipline. </li></ul><br><br><b> Desirable: </b><br><ul><li> Computer literate. </li><li> Good interpersonal skills </li><li> Flexible approach </li><li> Good communication skills </li><li> Ability to work in a highly-regulated environment. </li><li> Willingness to learn and take on additional roles. </li><li> Able to work in multidisciplinary teams. </li><li> Strong fault finding approach to true root causes. </li></ul><br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
