<p>IAM RoadSmart is the UK’s leading road safety charity. As the world enters an exciting new age of artificial intelligence, smart motorways, and carbon efficiency, which is already fundamentally changing the way we live, work, and travel, IAM RoadSmart sees a huge opportunity for strategic growth and expansion. Key to our success, however, will be the provision of expert post-license driver and rider skills training and supporting products and services which meet the needs of 21st-century motorists.</p>
<p>We have earned a reputation as a progressive road safety charity providing a range of services, supported by the ‘lifeblood’ of our organisation, our national network of volunteers, and local groups who deliver our training courses and advanced test.</p>
<p>We recognise we need to build on what we currently do well, work smarter and seek to do things differently by challenging the status quo. This will ensure we continue to lead the way through innovative approaches to driver and rider training and education, and ensure our volunteers have the skills-sets, equipment and desire to train others.</p>
<p><b>About the role</b></p>
<p>In this newly created Head of Product Development role, you will be responsible for the development of new products for a diverse audience group and manage our existing portfolio of established products ensuring that they stay relevant and successful.</p>
<p>You will define product vision and strategy and manage and lead the product team, monitoring product performance and responding to that performance. Importantly, you will ensure that all products connect to the standards we champion and engage with sales and marketing, and communications teams to ensure our products are successful. You will develop the product roadmap and deliver its execution, project managing the development of new products, and communicating product vision, strategy, and plans. Equally, you will always have a product portfolio that is relevant to key road users.</p>
<p><b>Who we are looking for</b></p>
<p>We seek someone with proven experience in building quality educational products, with demonstrable experience in leading, influencing, and inspiring teams and the people around you. Experience in developing educational products across multiple formats and platforms, working collaboratively at all levels with standards, policy, sales, marketing, and other business teams to co-create solutions that solve problems is sought. We need someone who is proactive, with a relentless approach to self-improvement and an appetite to stay in tune with business and market trends, and a strong advocate of the user and a champion of the customer experience.</p>
