<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is seeking an experienced <b>Senior Controls/Automation Engineer</b> to join our Conventional Energy team in Calgary. <br><br><b> Responsibilities: </b><br><ul><li> Work independently and provide mentorship/guidance to less experienced team members </li><li> Provide controls input to process P&ID </li><li> Prepare, review, and sign/stamp control deliverables such as Control Philosophy, Control Narrative, Cause and Effect diagram, and Control system architecture </li><li> Provide input into DBM </li><li> Provide cost estimates </li><li> Plan and coordinate project scheduling for controls </li><li> Participate in HazOp, LOPA, and SIL review </li><li> Prepare and review IO lists and assignments </li><li> Selection and procurement of controls hardware </li><li> Provide technical support in FAT </li><li> Prepare and review approve vendor documents </li><li> Configuration of controls equipment: logic and HMI for PLC/DCS/ Safety Systems </li><li> Equipment communications and network systems </li><li> Have frequent contact with client, vendor, and internal staff and other 3rd parties </li><li> Field commissioning and start-up </li><li> Help to develop new business and manage client relations and expectations </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> bachelors Degree in Engineering </li><li> Minimum of 15+ years of related experience </li><li> Ability to register as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in the province of Alberta </li><li> Solid written and verbal communication skills </li><li> Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organizational skills </li><li> Ability to handle multiple tasks </li><li> Must live within reasonable commuting distance </li><li> Must be legally eligible to work in Canada at time of application </li><li> Must have valid drivers licence </li><li> Must be willing and able to travel </li></ul><br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
