<div class="mds-edited-text mds-font-body-copy-bulk"><p>Central is currently recruiting for a <strong>Progression Coach</strong> to work in the <strong>Wandsworth </strong>area. The service provides <strong>floating support</strong> across the borough of Wandsworth to <strong>young people</strong> between the ages of 16 - 25 with low to medium needs. </p>
<p>The successful candidate will be required to work<strong> 37.5 hours per week</strong>, working across <strong>Monday - Friday, 9AM - 5PM</strong>. Some flexibility is required if clients need to have some evening support sessions. Cover is required for approximately<strong> 2 months</strong>, with the possibility of extension. The pay rate for this role is £11.85 per hour, with £1.43 holiday pay, totalling <strong>£13.28 per hour</strong>. </p>
<p>Please note; this role is a hybrid role and involves meeting with service users in the community and their homes (Wandsworth), visits to the Head office (Southwark) and working from home. </p>
<p><strong>In this position, you will be expected to; </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Hold a caseload of 10-17 clients and conduct regular key working sessions, providing one to one support </li>
<li>Carry out weekly check-ins with each client, who may require between 1-2 hours of support</li>
<li>Complete risk and needs assessments and update paperwork such as YHOT Questionnaire and Changes Plans </li>
<li>Log all contact and sessions with the clients onto the Inform system. </li>
<li>Provide practical support in areas such as ETE, benefits, budgeting and finances, housing, tenancy sustainment, accessing wellbeing services etc. </li>
<li>Liaise with professionals such as Social Workers and provide monthly updates on clients </li>
<li>Support the team with assessing new referrals, as and when needed</li>
<li>Provide floating support to two Houses in Wandsworth (for 7 clients), ensuring the properties are kept in good condition during weekly visits, supporting with repair reports and maintaining the benefits and tenancies of clients</li>
<li>Provide support to service users to resolve high rent arrears issues by liaising with benefits departments and creating repayment plans</li>
</ul>
<p>Please note; this role involves lone working </p>
<p><strong>To apply for this role candidates must have;</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience of working with young people with complex needs</li>
<li>Experience working in a floating support environment</li>
<li>Experience holding a caseload, conducting support plans, risk assessments and needs assessments </li>
<li>An understanding of the needs of people who have experienced homelessness, poor mental health, substance use. </li>
<li>Experience and knowledge of supporting clients with their tenancy. </li>
<li>The ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of safeguarding requirements and procedures</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Further requirements:</strong></p>
<p>In order to register with Central Recruitment Services for temporary agency work, candidates must meet the following criteria:</p>
<ul>
<li>Current valid right to work in the UK</li>
<li>Minimum 12 months’ of paid experience in a front line social care role within the last 3 years* (unless recruitment criteria states otherwise)</li>
<li>A fully enhanced DBS either registered on the DBS update service or issued within the last 12 months, or willingness to apply for one through Central (at a cost of £50)</li>
<li>Employment or education history to cover the last 5 years which can be verified through the referencing process</li>
</ul>
