Solution Architect

Job Summary Amentum is seeking a Solution Architect to support our Chantilly, VA location. In this role you will Interpret the Request for Proposal (RFP) technical and management requirements, including manning and organization; plan, direct, review, and correct/redirect the content for Executive Summary, Technical, Management, Small Business, Past Performance, and Pricing Volumes. Work with Capture, Solution Architects, SMEs, and Pricing as relates to proposal section. Apply sales, marketing, planning, and research principles theories concepts and techniques. Role The Solution Architect will co-ordinate and produce the proposal (RFI, PPQ, ITT, RFP etc.) response while assembling a proposal team that has the skills to prepare and submit a winning proposal. Responsibilities include the introduction and implementation of all necessary proposal procedures and governance. This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines. Experience Proven ability in planning, producing, and delivering compliant proposals within a complex business environment. The Solution Architect will be experienced in scheduling and running proposal kick-off meetings, leading storyboarding sessions, facilitating key review meetings / final document review, co-ordinating proposal governance / sign off, document production, and delivery of the completed proposal. Core Responsibilities Delivery of compliant, professionally produced proposals within customer defined timeframe Coordinate and review / edit proposal input from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, marketing, product teams, finance, commercial, legal and delivery. Communicate and influence at a senior level. Ability to coach sales teams in persuasive writing and proposal best practice. Proposal automation software (or similar) experience. Document template management in line with company branding. Strong time management / prioritization skills. Strong written English language skills. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field, plus a minimum of 10+ years with 5+ years of experience in supervisory or management capacity. Must be highly proficient with word-processing and integrated software applications. Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree Previous experience on efforts of $100M+ Government contracting experience and a military background is desired. Preferred Experience/Qualifications include the ability to: Assemble and organize proposal teams, authors, and support personnel; and assign specific responsibilities. Develop and manage the proposal schedule to meet all milestones. Develop and coordinate win strategies with an appropriate Business Area Director. Assemble, organize, and manage proposal preparation teams; plan and manage all required meetings; provide training and direction; assign specific responsibilities; monitor performance of team members; and provide corrective action as required. Identify and monitor requirements/expenditures for each proposal effort, if required. Facilitate proposal strategy sessions, drive proposal schedules, and proactively design innovative presentations and proposals in keeping with the overall company image campaign. Complete all proposal documents in conformance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). Coordinate development of pricing models and subcontracting plans. Coordinate and conduct management team reviews. Ensure preparation of proposals that meet or exceed all RFP and customer requirements. Manage the proposal budget, resources, production staff, and schedule Obtain training and education necessary to meet or exceed current industry standards for development and production of proposals.
