R&D Supervisor, Measurement Science

Overview This role will act as MS contact window to support Quaker APAC innovation projects including communication with PD/TDC/LS partners, analytical core testing, new test capability building, method consultancy, research/investigation to support new ingredient claim, data interpretation & technical insights, internal/external network building and maintenance, etc. This role will also lead the AA testing of APAC & AMESA baseline and innovation AA samples, including work plan set up , reporting and stakeholder communication, AA testing budget management, etc . Responsibilities 1. Act as MS contact window to support Quaker APAC innovation including project management, stakeholder communication, work plan setting, analytical work execution, method consultancy & data insights and internal/external network building & maintenance, etc. 2. Lead the AA testing for APAC&AMESA including AA baseline analysis and innovation sample testing, e.g., manage daily operation, working plan set up , reporting and stakeholder communication, data interpretation & technical insights, AA testing budget management, etc. 3. Deploy Global MS Quaker testing methods, working process, best practice, e.g., mositure testing. 4. Collaborate as strong partner in MS SH Lab with Quaker product developers, TDC & Life Sciences functions for test method consultancy. 5. Work closely with Global MS teams/community, to discuss and align on new AA testing methods, working process and execute the roll-out to China. 6. Leverage digitization tools such as WinLims/DELTA for Quaker analytical data maintenance, recording, tracking and insights generation. 7. Collaborate with contract laboratories, external academic institutes/universities to deliver fast solution to business, e.g., sample testing outsource /collaboration with external labs. 8. Train other colleagues on Quaker analytical professional skills. 9. Lab budget management of SH MS team, i.e., Mybuy system PO application and lab budget regular review. Qualifications MS degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or related discipline with a minimum of 4 years work experience in analytical techniques and instrumentation. Digitization knowledge/skills would be a plus. Be flexible, willing to work under challenges and pressure, able to handle multitasks with good prioritization skill. Good management and communication skills, e.g., project management, time management, etc. Experience on Foods or Beverage industry is preferred. Good team player with collaborative spirit and win-win mindset. Faster leaner and self-motivated. Good English and computer skills.
