R & D Work Integrated Learnership 1 (FTC)

Overview To acquire on the job training or experience in the R&D environment for the purposes of fulfilling qualification requirements or to get experience after qualification. Responsibilities Responsible for routine analytical and product quality tests. Lead base product collection from the production lines for development and pilot plant level Lead sample preparation for consumer research Lead sample preparation for sales listing of new product into stores Collaborate with product developers Manage courier requests Support maintenance of pilot plant in accordance with 5 S Manage seasoning functionality (Brookfield Testing) Conduct seasoning applications, ensuring in specification salt results are attained Engage with external labs for sodium testing & microbiological testing Operation of packaging machine: - Film change - Sample coder Conduct following Laboratory tests : - Salt Analysis - Oil Analysis - Bulk Density Analysis - Particle Size Analysis - Moisture Analysis Qualifications Degree in a Food Science, Food Technology Completed at least second year modules Food technology/science or biotechnology with 65-70% aggregate mark South African citizen “PepsiCo is an Equal Opportunity Employer in line with the Employment Equity Act
