SUMMARY This Senior Systems Engineer role consists of executing necessary Windows Server, Office 365 and Active Directory Services in support of PetSmart Enterprise Systems and Services. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED · Minimum 3 Years of relatable server engineering and operations · Minimum 2 Years of Active Directory, Office 365 and Windows Server Operating System administration experience · Minimum 2 Years of Direct on the job experience with scripting and automation · Understanding of Product and Platform teams and Agile project lifecycle PREREQUISITE COMMUNICATIONS AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS · Ability to communicate and collaborate with internal customers across multiple PetSmart teams (IT and Business) · Learning agility and adoption of new technology and platform related services · Ability to lead project work, deployments and develop technical solutions PREREQUISITE TECHNICAL SKILLS · Proficient managing active directory services (building, maintaining, and upgrading domain controllers; DNS) · Proficient in writing scripts within PowerShell and MS Graph · Experience with 1 or more configuration management tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible preferred) · Experience with virtual machine hypervisors (VMWare preferred) · Experience with cloud platforms preferred (AWS, Azure, GCP) · Experience with PKI solutions and management · Experience with Microsoft 365 including Teams, Azure AD, MS Exchange Online and On Premise · Proficient in problem resolution including problem management, root cause analysis and implementation of remedies PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES · Work within release and change management · Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts · Document processes and related knowledge · Develop standards and repeatable procedures · Excellent communication skills · Experience with troubleshooting using traces, log correlation, metrics (SLA/SLO, monitoring, alerting, dashboarding) providing detailed post-mortems · Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures · Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple, large, distributed software applications, participating in an on-call rotation About the Culture At PetSmart, we work hard to create a culture where every associate feels like they truly belong and we celebrate the unique stories, backgrounds, and experiences our associates share.
