<b>Role Summary </b><br><br>The VWTS UF/MBR Technology team is currently recruiting for a Lead Process Engineer to join our team and to assume responsibility of various validation programs to support the development and commercialization of new water and wastewater treatment products. <br><br><b>Essential Responsibilities </b><br><ul><li>Collaborate with the product development teams to develop pilot test equipment and find water and/or wastewater sites at which to execute validation testing. </li><li>Develop and execute project testing plans to validate new products at pilot scale (internal and external sites) and at full-scale customer sites. </li><li>Monitor pilot and full-scale process operations and provide regular guidance to operations on process parameters, including guidance during process upsets. </li><li>Review, analyse and interpret process operating data relative to product development goals and objectives.</li><li>Provide concise written reports on project outcomes to support development reviews.</li><li>Prepare and deliver presentations for team update meetings and development reviews.</li><li>Work with external partners on research collaborations supporting product development and new product applications.</li><li>Drive internal collaboration and provide technical support to the commercial, engineering and service teams. </li><li>Lead external communication through networking, publications, client interaction, and presentations.</li></ul><br><b>Qualifications /Requirements</b><br><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences or related technical discipline with focus on water/wastewater treatment.</li><li>Minimum 5 years of experience in the water and/or wastewater treatment.</li><li>Hands-on involvement with membrane processes and other advanced water and/or wastewater treatment processes.</li><li>Requirement to travel for up to 20% of working days.</li></ul><br><b>Desired Characteristics </b><br><ul><li>A strong understanding of biological, physical, and chemical water and wastewater processes.</li><li>Demonstrated mechanical aptitude - experience with assembling piping, selecting pumps, valves, instruments and sensors, field calibration and troubleshooting.</li><li>Data Analysis - understanding of statistical data analysis including awareness multivariate analysis. </li><li>Self-motivated, ability to complete projects with minimal oversight, passionate about problem solving, dedicated to supporting the team, meeting deadlines and commitments.</li><li>Effective communication skills including the demonstrated ability to produce technical reports, conference papers, and the ability to make oral presentations.</li></ul>
