The position, based in Bangkok, Thailand, will report to the Asia Geozone Interpretation and Evaluation Services (IES) Manager and the Thailand Drilling Services (DS) Operations Manager in support of LWD operations. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the life cycle of MWD/LWD data acquisition from pre-well planning to final delivery of data to clients. This responsibility will encompass QAQC of LWD data, provision of processing and interpretation as requested and generation and delivery of final log plots and reports.<br><br><b> Responsibilities </b><br><br>Weatherford has identified a requirement for an OPERATIONS GEOSCIENCE SPECIALIST III - PETROPHYSICS (LWD) due to expanded activity. The position, based in Bangkok, Thailand, will report to the Asia Geozone Interpretation and Evaluation Services (IES) Manager and the Thailand Drilling Services (DS) Operations Manager in support of LWD operations. This responsibility will encompass QAQC of LWD data, provision of processing and interpretation as requested and generation and delivery of final log plots and reports. <br><br><ul><li> Provide technical support to clients and Weatherford operations and sales teams. </li><li> QA/QC of MWD/LWD data inclusive of real time and memory-based data. </li><li> Provide processing and interpretation of MWD/LWD data as required. </li><li> Generate log plots (digital and hardcopy prints), reports and deliver final data requirements to the customer. </li><li> Maintain timely data archiving and storage. </li><li> Predominantly office-based role with some potential for out of office work depending on requirements. Out of hours support may be required in specific circumstances. </li></ul> <br><br><b> Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> A Degree in Engineering or Geosciences </li><li> 3-7 years related oil field experience within MWD/LWD operations and interpretation and evaluation. </li><li> Demonstrated knowledge of MWD/LWD data and its uses. </li><li> Demonstrated knowledge of Geology and Formation Evaluation. </li><li> Ability to adapt positively to changes in policies, procedures, priorities or work environments. </li><li> Good presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex issues. </li><li> Be a self-starter and eager to learn in the field and office environment. </li></ul>
