<div class="mds-edited-text mds-font-body-copy-bulk"><p><strong>International Child Referral Programme Coordinator </strong></p><p><strong>Chain of Hope </strong></p><p><strong>London/Hybrid </strong></p><p><strong>Full time, Permanent, 37.5 hours per week (with flexible working) </strong></p><p><strong>Salary up to £34,000</strong></p><p> </p><p>Charity People are proud to be partnering with Chain of Hope, a charity which supports children with heart disease in developing and war-torn countries, to help bring on board an International Child Referral Programme Coordinator.</p><p> </p><p>1 child in every 100 is born with a heart defect. With a chain of volunteer surgeons and medical teams ready to provide urgent medical care for thousands of children with heart diseases, Chain of Hope links experts together around the world to bring lifesaving heart treatments to children and establish vital cardiac services.</p><p> </p><p>Chain of Hope was created to help as many children as possible. The International Child Referral Programme Coordinator will support the International Child Referral Management Team with the safe transfer of children overseas for surgery, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the children and their family member whilst abroad.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Key responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>You will coordinate logistics for the transfer of children overseas for treatment; booking flights, ensuring purchase orders are completed, preparing visas, passport, and travel documentation, including checking Covid entry and travel requirements and restrictions</li><li>You will provide administrative support, including maintaining the waiting list of children on the database and supporting safeguarding precautions, checks, vetting and liaising with referral treatment centres</li><li>You will prepare data and presentation of referrals to the Chain of Hope Medical Committee, maintain up to date files and create activity information and reports for the Finance and Management teams</li></ul><p> </p><p>The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and administrative skills and be able to multi-task under pressure. You will be a team player, with a flexible approach. You will ideally understand the global landscape and will have provided coordination and logistics support in an international capacity.
