S&P Global Corporate The Role: Security Automation Engineer The Team: sits within the S&P Global Information Security organization. By leveraging diverse technologies, an automation-first approach and an agile-driven culture, the Security Automation team works towards improving efficiency, effectiveness, and accuracy of the InfoSec functions. Additionally, we design and develop small to medium-sized solutions for internal use to automate any security-relevant efforts that enable the InfoSec teams to operate at high speed and wide scale. Primary Responsibilities: Develop SOAR playbooks and custom code for a variety of security use cases Continuous optimization, tuning and monitoring security automation tools Actively identify areas of improvement within the processes of our Security Operations Center, Cyber Incident Response Team and other InfoSec teams with the goal of decreasing response times, increasing effectiveness, eliminating waste, and streamlining security operations. Develop integrations with 3rd party services and APIs. Partner with other development and business teams to manage dependencies and communicate technical specifications. What We're Looking For: Familiarity with one or more Programming Languages (Python, JavaScript preferred) Comfortable with REST API best practices and usage Hands-on experience with security technologies such as SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR, IAM principles and others. Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud services configuration and development. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment. Ability to communicate to a technical and non-technical audience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with SOAR or automation/orchestration tools such as Phantom, XSOAR, Siemplify, etc. Experience with Splunk/Sentinel and Splunk SOAR or similar SOAR Platform Experience with DevOps practices. Grade/Level: 9 The Location: US Virtual Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only): S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $58,300 to $90,000. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan. This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits.
