Offshore Crane Operator

<p>Ably Resources are recruiting Crane Operators on behalf of one of our offshore clients. The roles can be on board different vessels including heavy lift crane vessels, construction vessels, FPSOs, Semi-submersible drilling rigs and drill ships. All of these vessels would require you to ensure that all crane activities are carried out in a safe manner in accordance with industry and company rules, regulations, procedures and good industry practice.</p>

<p>You&
39;ll liaise with the deck and crane team in all instances and work as part of the team to ensure the safety of all crew, regardless of the vessel type assigned.</p>

<p>To be considered for a position as Crane Operator, you should have experience with;</p>

<ul>
<li>Large cranes and experience lifting 300tn plus or for drillships/semi-subs 120tn plus</li>
<li>Experience with Knuckle Boom cranes</li>
<li>Working on large offshore construction or drilling projects</li>
<li>Moving loads in areas with tight deck space</li>
</ul>

<p>The following certification is required.</p>

<ul>
<li>Offshore Crane Operator Stage 3 or G5 Certification</li>
<li>Minimum Certification of Proficiency STCW A-II/4 or A-III/4 or Dual Certification</li>
<li>Basic STCW Certificates</li>
<li>Proficiency in Security Awareness (STCW A-VI/6-1)</li>
<li>Medical Certificate (STCW)</li>
<li>Discharge Book</li>
<li>BOSIET/FOET &amp; CA/EBS - OPITO Approved</li>
</ul>

<p>The following certification would be advantageous.</p>

<ul>
<li>Medical First Aid (STCW A-VI/4-1)</li>
<li>Advanced Fire Fighting (STCW A-VI/3)</li>
<li>Designated Security Duties (STCW A-VI/6-2)</li>
<li>Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats other than FRB</li>
</ul>
