EOOW Motorman

<p>Ably Resources are currently looking for an Engineering Officer of the Watch (EOOW)/Motorman for one of our offshore clients. You should have around 2 years&
39; experience in rank to be considered.</p>

<p>You&
39;ll contribute to a safe engineering watch in a manned engine-room or designated to perform duties in a periodically unmanned engine-room. Perform the marine engineering function at support level as indicated in regulation III/4 and/or III/5. Execute the assigned work tasks within the frame of own responsibilities and/or qualifications. You&
39;ll be required to maintain safe working practices, report to the Engineer on watch and execute your assigned tasks in an agreed timeframe.</p>

<p>Your tasks as an EOOW/Motorman are diverse and as such you will have the opportunity to use and develop your problem-solving skills in a wide range of scenarios. As an EOOW, Motorman, you are responsible for:</p>

<p>&bull; The safe and efficient completion of the duties required by the Chief / Second Engineer&
39;s standing Work Routines, planned maintenance jobs, operational duties, and general maintenance of the parts of the vessel managed by the Chief / Second Engineer including cleaning, painting and greasing.</p>

<p>&bull; Carrying out Engine Room watch keeping duties as directed.</p>

<p>&bull; Carrying out Engine Room fire and safety patrols as directed.</p>

<p>&bull; Assisting in the maintenance of all Engine Room firefighting and safety equipment as directed by the Second Engineer.</p>

<p>&bull; Attending all statutory fire and safety drills on board.</p>

<p>To be considered for this role, you must have the following certification.</p>

<li>BOSIET/FOET and CA-EBS - OPITO Approved</li>
<li>STCW Elementary First Aid</li>
<li>STCW Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting</li>
<li>STCW Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities</li>
<li>STCW Personal Survival Techniques</li>
<li>STCW Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats other than Fast Rescue Boats</li>
<li>STCW Seafarers with Designated Security Duties</li>
<li>STCW Advanced Firefighting</li>
<li>STCW Fast Rescue Boats</li>
<li>Engine Room Watch Rating Certificate</li>
</ul>
