In this opportunity, you will play the role of an advanced level technology specialist and subject matter expert, providing customer guidance by facilitating technical workshops, creating of low-level designs and implementing use cases into high-quality solutions. In addition to customer-facing responsibilities, you would also provide technical input to other business units, pre-sales and drive best practices in the form of document creation. Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing? You will be expected to effectively work as part of a wider project team or independently act as technical lead on migration engagements. You should be able to identify process gaps and work with the team to address them In collaboration with other team members, you should be able to build a scalable and efficient model for NSX-T, vRealize Network Insight, NSX Advanced Load Balancer, VMC on AWS & NSX Security design & implementation, NSX-V to NSX-T migration knowledge would be an added advantage. Take ownership and accountability for individual deliverables. Proactively define project requirements/issues/constraints/risks and address them with PMs You should be able to effectively collaborate within different product workstreams within the team and with Business units, identify current gaps, and find a way to bridge them You should be able to mentor other team members and provide them with technical and consultative guidance as needed The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis? Perform design workshops, assessment of customer’s existing environment, create low-level & high-level design documents Review and validate your and other team members' documents Drive customer-facing and internal project calls along with project managers and provides technical guidance Manage customer and internal escalations, collaborate with support and engineering teams as needed Designing, planning and execution of Virtual Cloud Network portfolio Understanding of various 3rd party integrations with NSX-T and highlighting any interoperability issues Work with the product engineering team and resolve issues faced during project execution Work with various BU’s for successful execution of projects Maintain current, high-level technical knowledge of the entire VMware product portfolio and future product direction and expert-level knowledge of the virtual cloud networking product lines, which include NSX, NSX Advanced Load Balancer, VMC on AWS, vRNI & HCX What is the leadership like for this role? Where is this role located? Fixed: The role is primarily considered for world-class VMware Mumbai office, however, travel outside Mumbai may be required as per business needs from time to time.
